About how many calories would 1 egg add? From my understanding I should just add peanut butter, eggs, oats, ice cream, etc. to regular whey right? 7/8 I worked on my chest and triceps yesterday Chest Barbell Bench Press or Smith Machine Bench Press 4 x 8 Incline Dumbbell Bench Press 4 x 8 Dumbbell Flys 3 x 10 Triceps Close Grip Bench Press 4 x 8 French Press 2 x 10 Tricep Dips 2 x10 I found that my triceps seem to be lacking. I DID go through the free weight exercises but my arms felt numb and like they would give out. No shaking though. Then when it came to the dips I didn't have much force, did them slowly. Today is back and biceps, about to get on it! |

Yeah just add shit to your shake... more control of the macros if you care about those too. You don't know whats really in those gainer shakes despite what the label says.

Been adding stuff to my shakes, running out of protein so I'm going to buy some more of that $15 stuff at Walmart.
7/9 Back Bent Over Dumbbell Row 4 x 8 Wide Grip Pull Up 4 x 10 Cable Reverse Grip Rows 4 x 10 Biceps Standing Barbell Curl 4 x 8 Alternate Seated Dumbbell Curl 2 x 10 Concentration Curl 2 x 10 I do some mobility/balance exercises in between sets now too. Don't want to become a stiff. 7/10 Rest day. Still went out training though. 7/11 I'm skipping today and doing it tomorrow along with the Friday workout. *Is it bad to combine days like this? Will it change the way I progress? |

I'm doing Crossfit at the moment. For the record, I'm not a crossfit fanboy. I like it for one reason only, IT'S FUN. I think doing the 5x5 will help you gain weight/muscle WAY faster than what I'm doing (high-interval, high intensity, short workouts). I just now realized that in order to get big, I have to eat BIGGER. I doubled the portions I use to eat and only ended up with 2270 calories! So my problem is definitely not my metabolism but the fact I ate NO WHERE near the amount I need to gain weight. Haha no judgment on my part. I've actually been interested in it for the longest but it's damn expensive! I think it will be faster too, but when I ramp up the weights which I did slightly today. Damn dude that's probably how much I consume too.... I'm going to try and have a 1,000+ calorie shake a day and snack on peanut butter to help get to that 3,500. I'll keep my eye on your log bro! 7/16 REST 7/17 StrongLifts 5×5 Workout B Squat 5×5 - Did these no problem. Adding an extra 5 pounds Friday. Overhead Press 5×5- Was able to complete but I wasn't at the point of struggling exactly, 5 extra pounds as well. Deadlift 1×5- Piece of cake, I'll probably double the weight I'm lifting on the above exercises with this one. Had a post-workout shake. I ran out of whey on this one. Added one egg, 2 tbsp peanut butter, and 1 cup of oats. Going to update with how much I'm lifting on Friday. |

I got lucky and know a guy that has all the equipment at his house. I use to do it 2 years ago before it became famous (weighed about 160 max then).
Its really just circuit training not sure how it a got a cult like following the last 2 years. Still kicks my ass the way I like lol. But yeah eat those calories bro ;D... :'( |

Thanks Sam! @Killer Damn you ARE lucky haha Yeah I think it got popular because it kicks your ass and is fun to do!? You hear a lot about it here in Cali. It's almost like it's the "Cool" way to work out. Do you think Mc Double's are an alright source of calories/protein? I don't know much about nutrition but I remember you mentioned saturated fats being a potential problem.....? 7/18 REST 7/19 Got lazy. Rest. 7/20 Made up for yesterday today! Did workout A which is 5 x 5 Squats 5 x 5 Bench Press 5 x 5 Barbell Rows I'm at 40 pounds of weights right now. I'm not sure how much the bar weighs but it's less than the one's you normally see at gyms. I'mm figure that out later. Had a post-workout shake which consisted of -1 egg -packet of oatmeal -2 tbsp peanut butter -cup of strawberries -cup of banana -celery *No more whey, going to have to wait to buy more ![]() |
