Lifting weights anywhere near your 1rm has a huge mental component to it. Try slapping on a 45, 35, and a 10 on both sides on your next attempt instead of 2 45s, and tell yourself, "I got this shit", and believe it.
I've learned something recently, that I think I knew all along but never really applied.
Most guys on here are lifting to look good for girls.
Looking good is mostly about diet, getting lean.
You can be strong as fuck and look like shit, and you can be weak and look great. While strength is a great measure of progress, its not a good determinant in how you look.
I used to 1 rep Max 335 in the bench years back and I looked like shit becauae I had too much body fat. Now I can only 1 rep about 265 but I look much better because I'm about 14 pounds leaner than I was then. My pecs look less lile man boobs.
Also, my chest is more muscular than it was then, not only from the lower bf, but from something else I learned: one of the key differences between looking good and just being strong: reps/tension on the muscle.
Since I started going to the gym less than used to and my chest was lagging, I started doing pushups on some of my non gym days. Lots of pushups. I even started doing them 21's style: 7 full range of motion reps, 7 lower half range of motion reps, 7 upper half range of motion reps, and doing sets back to back then upping the reps per range of motion the following session. My chest improved significantly and I even got sore once. Why? Tension on the muscle. Reps.
But guess what? My bench didn't increase one bit. I had gained muscle but no strength, just pushup endurance. But guess what? I have had girls in the past in bars compliment me on my body, never once did one ever ask me how much I bench. You know who asks that, dudes.
So just know that there's a difference between impressing guys and looking sexy for girls. How much do you think Dude75 benches? NSA? BIB? Probably not as much as I used to years back, but they got way more pussy.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
