Volume work done. I skipped my accessory work on my lower body day because I ran out of time, but I got all my heavy work in so it's all good. Hello,
Workout posted below. Box squats are intense, they're harder than regular squats. When you sit down on the box, you have to squat back up with zero momentum since all of it is lost when you sit down. Hello,
Checking in again. Re-did 207.5lbs on the Bench Press in order to really seal it in. I am going to repeat last weeks volume work tomorrow as well. I'm not strong enough to proceed to the next level. Gotta be a little bit more patient, this past week wasn't the greatest diet wise, so I'm not surprised by my performance. I have gotten a little stronger but not as much as I thought I was gonna gain. I'm gonna focus on today's nutrition and squeeze the most out of this weekend's volume work so that I can break through 210 in 2 weeks or so. Did lower body power today. Squats are still slow but I ripped the SDL clean off the ground. I will probably add weight for my SDL and keep my squats the same for another week. Dominated 210 today on the bench today. Super happy about that. Gonna get 212.5lbs no problem. I dropped down to 167lbs a week ago so I ate my face off over the weekend and then went back to maintenance cals. When I checked in after my binge the scale was back to 173lbs. The extra food let me hit the weights harder and I definitely gained muscle during that binge. Not sure how much fat I put on, but it's probably around 1lb-2lbs, with the rest being fluids and muscle. I'm definitely bigger and stronger than when I started. I'm also leaner, but not substantially. I'm only leaner because I've stayed the same in terms of bodyfat or I've lost a little bit of fat. Very happy with my progress, my arms and chest are looking really nice, I can't wait to lean out and reveal my gains but right now I need to stay on the path and build muscle. Changed up my volume work a little bit. Instead of doing 4x8 I am switching to 5x5. 5x5 is a little easier but I can push my accessory exercises, like my incline bench. Also had to move my Sunday workout to Monday because I went on a trip over the weekend. I will check in tomorrow for my lower body power day. Hello,
This workout was legit. I didn't think I was gonna get 247.5lbs on my box squat but I did!! It felt really heavy and this is close to my limits but I got all the reps in. No failed reps!! Sumo was ripped clean off the ground, lots of progress to be made. 315lbs is around the corner. Tomorrow is bench day, I hit a lifetime PR of 210lbs last week. This week I am gonna reach for 215lbs. Smashed 215lbs on the bench this morning. See video below: I've been making progress consistently since the beginning of this log with zero stalls. Slow and steady progress without gaining any bodyfat in fact, I believe that I have lost bodyfat. We'll confirm it later on the next DEXA scan, but I'm sure I've gotten to 20-21% BF WHILE GAINING MUSCLE!! In the past I've "bulked" and ended up fat so don't make that mistake because it's a giant waste of time. My next DEXA scan will happen after I reach 225lbs on the bench. If you're reading this log and you're trying to bulk but aren't gaining strength week to week then you're probably fucking up somewhere.
