There was a different guy taking the ab attack class today. After the session, he came up to me and said that he'd noticd that I'd been coming to the gym. We got talking about my goals and things, and he's going to give me an hour-long coaching session tomorrow morning. He's going to look at my squat and deadlift form and tell me if there's anything I ought to change. I'm really looking forward to it.
I had a great session with the guy today. He showed me how to use a foam roller, then we started off with some deadlifts with a light weight; he was complimenting me on my form and then he showed me how to do them with a trap bar. He recommended that I switch to more of a hypertrophy workout (he's massive btw) so I did sets of 8. Then he showed me how to do glute bridges and Romanian deadlifts, which I hadn't done before. We finished off with some Monster walks with a band for my gluteus minor and I went off and did some leg curls for hamstrings. He told me that he doesn't normally do the glute bridge or RDLs in these sessions, but since I had a strong back from deadlifting and was more advanced he could do them with me.
I weighed myself and came in at 72.3kg, which is a loss of 1.4kg in the last three days. I assume most of that is water weight put on over the week end.
Cardio - 250kcal on the cross trainer
Warm-up - messing around with foam rollers + goblet squats
Really tough workout today - I've switched up to more of a hypertrophy workout and started doing some warm up sets, so my weights aren't as high as they were before. I added some dumbbell flies to target my lagging chest.
