Just before I headed off to the gym today, the doorbell rang and there was a man delivering my first ever bag of BCAAs. It's a 4:1:1 mix. I took it as a sign and had a whole load - they tasted disgusting, but if I'm man enough to lift the weights, then I'm man enough to drink disgusting liquid every day.
I didn't bring my little book to the gym with me, but I did the best I can to remember my magic numbers.
Squats - 82.5kg - 4x5 reps
Bench press - 53kg - 3x5 reps
Bent over rows - 50kg - 3x8 reps
Barbell military press - 35kg - 12+8+4 reps, 30kg - 4 reps
Biceps curls - 25kg - 2x12 reps
Dips - 2x12 reps
-- Left off the hammer curls --
Lateral raise - 2x8 kg - 6 reps
I weighed myself today - hovering around 76-77 kg. This means I've lost a fair bit since last week. I've cut my calories down, and it's starting to show; I can see my abs again, although my double chin hasn't gone away. Possibly losing a bit of muscle tone as well, though I'm still getting strength gains - I'll just have to keep taking those BCAAs.
I received an e-mail from Amazon telling me that my liver tabs order had been cancelled for some reason. They very nicely told me to order them again if I still wanted them. Thanks guys.
My girlfriend is coming to visit me today, which will be great. She suggested that we go and work out together, and I'm hoping to teach her how to squat properly.
I went to te gym with my girlfriend yesterday and did a bit of working out, including two 8-rep sets of squats at 82.5kg. I also got into doing some cardio, which I'm going to try and do as often as possible from now on.
I've worked out three times since I last posted. There's not much point in me posting all the numbers, though. My squat is up to 85kg, and my deadlift up to 90. Bench press not really going anywhere.
I did a juice fast yesterday where I ate no solid food and just drank protein shakes, greens supplements, shots of olive oil and lots and lots of BCAAs. As of ~3pm today, I haven't eaten any solid food today yet either. I felt pretty terrible yesterday, but I've been sort of OK today, so I might be able to transition into a carb-free diet. My liver tabs should be arriving today too.
In all, I've lost about 5kg since I last posted pictures, most of it fat. I've still got a fair bit left to lose, but I'm hoping to keep this cutting spell brief so I can start a long slow bulk over the next couple of years.
Not much to report today, except that I weighed myself and I came out as 77kg - a slight increase on the weekend. I've definitely lost a whole lot of fat (though there's still more to lose), so that's a good sign.
I'm about to go and present a paper at a conference in Eindhoven, so it'll be pressups only for the next week or so. I don't feel like taking my BCAAs with me, so I'm going to start eating again and pick up where I left off once I get back.
I am definitely getting weaker now, but I suppose that's something I'm going to have to start getting used to. I weighed myself today and came out as 75.4kg. That's a loss of 1.6kg in 10 days, so perhaps I should increase my calories a tiny bit.

Likely just water weight. I'd keep it steady for a week or two and see if the rate of weight loss evens out. That being said 2000kcal seems to be a little on the low side, so if you really want to, then you can go ahead.

I'm away at a conference this week, so I paid to use a payasugym gym. It's actually pretty nice - much smaller than my usual gym but waaay less crowded - there are two squat racks but at most one person is using either of them at any time.
Here's what I did:
Cardio -1 mile on the treadmill, 5mph, 15% incline + cool down
Squats - 85kg - 5 reps / 80kg - 5 reps (this will be the last time I use 85 kg on this cut)
Smith machine bench press - 45kg+bar - 3x5 reps
Bent over rows - 45g - 3x8 reps
Barbell military press - 35kg - 10+8+8 reps
Biceps curls - 25kg - 2x12 reps
Dips - 2x12 reps
Hammer curls - 2x10 kg - 4x12 reps
Lateral raises - 7 kg - reps / 6kg - 10 reps
I'm going to go in tomorrow - but just for cardio.
I weighed myself today and it came out as 73.7kg, which is a loss of 1.7kg on last week. Probably mostly muscle, though I have lost some body fat. I suppose if I'm going to do this much cardio then I really ought to be eating more calories. I've had two people asking me if I was trying to bulk up when we were talking about working out and it just feels silly to tell them that I'm trying to lose weight when I'm so tiny. On the other hand, I still have a lot of flab around my tummy. I'm looking forward to my calipers arriving so I can see whether I'm making any progress.
Do you guys think a fat burner would be a good idea? Chris says it's essential on a fat loss diet, but from what I see it doesn't do much other than suppressing your appetite and increase your heart rate. Maybe I'll start having a cup of coffee in the morning and seeing where that takes me.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
