Week 4 - 89.5 kg - 197 lbs
I had a cheat day and gained 2kg of water weight which still hasn't gone down, so I don't look that much different from last week at least in pictures. I'd like to think I'm recomping because I've started a much more intense training regimen. I'm showing some more vascularity and barely starting to show some definition. I used to just do sets to failure, but now I'm experimenting with using dropsets, rest-pause, forced reps, negatives, supersets etc. on everything. I'm also focusing on the pump and mind-muscle connection rather than lifting maximal weights. As a result the workouts are much more painful and my muscles truly feel decimated afterwards, whereas with my old style of training I could've pretty much kept on training the whole fucking day. ![]() |

Week 5 - 88.6 kg - 195 lbs
Bumped up my calories by about 500 in the form of carbs. No need to torture myself, and I the more patient I am the better the end result will be. |

I've heard that bit of broscience as well, but I think that's just an excuse for people not wanting to work hard. In the 80s it was normal for bodybuilders to train hours every day, and what I've found is that simply the more I train and the harder I train, the more results I get. I seem to naturally have an insane work capacity and I've never found a point where I'm unable to recover, so I train as much as I can handle each time. For nattys it might be different though. |
