I ordered the 'MeCam' and got a defective camera, the return policy (I pay to send it back to them without a RMA#) is shady. I took pictures, have emails and even made a video showing the box im returning it in - in the event I have to get my lawyer involved. They haven't gotten back to me after telling me to "send it to them". (ridiculous, im just trying to buy a camera)

This is what im using today (shown you before) with my audio recorder (which has been good)

What I need is a nighttime (infrared?) camera.

This one can definitely be a substitute for daytime if the MeCam doesn't arrive or sucks

The MeCam has infrared capability (supposedly, if it works) and it might be necessary. I don't know how well non-infrared camera will work at bars/clubs.

If you can find a camera with extremely low LUX you will NOT need infra red for low light environment.

LUX rating is the actual available light intensity at which the camera can produce a picture.

In order to put things in perspective, here some are some setting examples with their equivalent LUX rating:

• A quarter moon-lit night produces about .01 LUX
• A full moon on a clear night produces about 0.27 LUX
• A full moon on a clear night near the equator produces about 1 LUX
• An average family room produces about 50 LUX
• An overcast, dark day produces about 100 LUX
• Typical office lighting ranges from about 300 to 500 LUX
• Direct sunlight can range from about 30,000 to 130,000 LUX

So if a camera has .01 lux you will still be able to see in this light condition without infra red.

We originally used the iphone to shoot. the girls didnt notice the camera, but some of them noticed Erik/Carlos hovering around and some would ask "are you just going to leave your friend" if I tried to take them somewhere

When I went to NYC to see Scotty, I shot the videos on an iphone without the hidden camera, the girls noticed the camera and me stalking them

at night, i think holding an iphone up in the air would be less weird, and i was looking into these "night vision" app.. anyone tried any of these

i dont know why im so pissed off, but ive gotten 1 camera that was broken when it arrived (me cam) and another that is hard as fuck to use (the lighter). ive got to figure shit out, i want to do these asap

i think the usb lighter will be okay today, it's not going to cut it at night however

I really don't like the idea of any goofy glasses (all the glasses ive seen are totally dorky and most are sunglasses that I can't wear at night) or anything I have to hold.. doing these videos and getting good angles/video isnt too easy. anything I can clip to my shirt would be ideal or hold in a top shirt pocket (i guess). as hands-free as possible.

one of my roommates had one of those pens (she was doing some show where it was her job to get a guy to cheat on his GF) and it was impossible to use.. we never knew if it was on/off/dead. it's kinda of like this lighter camera.. when the light goes on for 2 seconds its on.. but when it goes on for 3 seconds- its off.

that's why this "me cam" seemed so perfect
