I started also! Just began my first three weeks. Here are my Body Fat stats by week:
24.0 Started 23.6 23.3 End of week 2 Yeah, not very impressive and bordering on obese, but have loaded on muscle the past year by lifting. I just cannot lose my gut. I am developing nice arms, legs, and pecs, but have a BIG gut. That is why I am trying GLL fat loss. Not very impressive, I know. But, I thought I would add in Intermittent Fasting this week to increase the fat loss. My eating window will be 1130am to 730pm. What do you guys think about IF? I was going to try it 6 days a week and see if it helps. Any other tips? What is reasonable expectations % fat loss by week? Is %0.3/week good? I hoping to avoid counting calories and just stick with the diet. BTW, I am 58, 5'11" and weighing in at 205 Thanks! Sundance |

I agree, hes at a good starting point. Thanks Boxxy and Phil. Just woke up at 630 today. Took my fat burner and BCAAs and now I'm off to the gym. Time to run around in circles and pump IRON! |

It may help, but my experiences with losing fat showed me that how much you eat is more important than when you eat. The beginning should be more focused on sticking to the eating plan and not veering off of it. It works because it puts your body in a caloric deficit. After you do that and you still want to shed a couple of pounds, I would try and see how intermittent fasting works for you. also, the gll fat loss recommendations say that you should work out in the morning on an empty stomach. I think that helps to burn more fat than just IF. |

Yes I am working out in the morning according to the plan. I credit this with the results I have been getting so far. What a great idea. Burn that Mofo fat off!! Anyone have an idea of a reasonable expectation for fat loss per week? I want my expectations to be reasonable so I won't torpedo my motivation. Anyway, I like this site and the good looking bros that hang out here. Sundance |

Well, you've got 3 weeks worth of data there already.... 0.4-5% reductions weekly is probably as good a place as any to aim at for the first few weeks. It's likely to slow down a bit as you get to lower and lower body fat % though. It's super easy to get hung up on the data - like, your weight or bf increases a tiny bit one week to the next. Don't worry so much about that. It's the month by month (or longer) period changes you should pay attention to. |

6/3/13 Update
weight: 199 lb bf: 14.3% No energy this week. But i've been doing a lot. First 5 days stuck to plan spot on. Last couple of days been eating out, eating more nuts and peanut butter. Also cheese. Had the best turkey burger i've ever had last night. No buns, just turkey burger and cheese. I'm going to find some way to feel more energetic and not so tired all the time. I don't know if my fiber supplements, peanut butter, and protein powder are enough carbs to put me out of kitosis. Looking pretty good though: ![]() |

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
