I don't know what the experts say, nor do I care, but from the results that I've seen with my own body, I straight up avoid carbohydrates such as rice, bread, quinoa, lentils, etc, all together.
I've replaced all of that shit with healthy fats like Walnuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Almonds, Peanuts, and other miscellaneous nuts.
I'm sure High-Intensity cardio is better, but I think it's unnecessary. I just do a light job on the Elliptical.
When people say "abs are made in the kitchen," they're really not joking. The way your body looks is determined by your diet. I wasted years on "bulking" and all that shit when really I just needed a diet that was CLEAN AS FUCK.
You have to get serious about this shit. Stop eating junk food and expecting a nice looking body.
Judging by your pics its not too bad but I would still cut if I was you. The state you are in right now is easy fixable. I just always go by the rule if my abs disappear completely its time to cut back on the calories, this helps me stay lean pretty easily.
