just have a short question, will taking any of the following during the fasting period (intermittent fasting) break the fast :
1) coffee (black no sugar/cream)
3) protein powder
4) fibre supplement
5) fish oil (pills)
6) other supplements (ex. bcaa)
edit : asking bec i find i'm usually working out upon waking and over the years got used to taking a scoop of protein powder immediately after the workout, and my next/only meal/window would be usually well around dinner time

Black coffee and tea is fine. Protein powder is food and will break your fast, ditto for BCAA'S. I don't know about the other stuff, think of it this way, if something has calories in it, it will break your fast.
Basically you want to take periodic doses of BCAAs before, during and after your workout until you eat. Protein powder breaks the fast because a typical serving is 100-200 calories, which is significant. A dose of BCAAs is only about 40 calories, which is small enough to ignore. Everything except protein powder on that list is fine, because it is either 0 calories or so low in calories it can be safely ignored.
