So i got my gf on iifym and she is using myfitnesspal. She lost 5 lbs in the first 2 weeks but now she has plateaud. She's currently on 1500-1700 calories a day and I don't really want her to cut another 750 calories off that. She didn't do any refeed days like i recommended her. How do i get her to boost her metabolism again and not plateau in the future. Should i just get her to reverse diet and do refeed days in the future ?

Why would she cut another 750 calories off of that? Cut 100, work with that until she plateaus, then another 100, or increase cardio frequency or duration. Rinse and repeat. 1700 calories is actually quite a bit for a girl who's trying to get lean (depending on how big she is).
You can't boost her metabolism if she's cutting. That is done during the off-season when you're packing on new muscle tissue and adjusting to higher amounts of calories.
