Saw the red supplements post about doing a log to stay accountable and thinking it's a good idea. I've tried a log before and deleted it when I failed, but I'll just remember not to do that this time, maybe come on here and beat myself up.
Taking an atkins approach, i.e., basically what GLL recommends. In this log, I'll make a post every Saturday or Sunday telling weight, a progress pic, and comment on diet adherence. I will try to post during the week as well.
Need your help staying accountable / advice. Also need bodyfat estimates on my pictures.
2 Exceptions: tommorow, when my coworker brings something, and my vacation trip, when I will have to eat some carbs. Actually, I will not start Atkins until I get back from my trip. For now I will stick to a -500 cal deficit.
This week was pretty on-point. Just about everyday was -500 cal. This was also the case through last week. A couple days were at maintenance or slightly over. Today, however, I don't have a calorie count but I was maintenance or slightly above. I will be more accurate in the coming weeks. This next week I may not have much data since I get back the Monday after tomorrow. During my trip, I will try not to eat over maintenance, and will probably maintain a deficit.

Currently my carbs are pretty high, sometimes 150-250. I have a sweet tooth and hope to break it with a serious effort at atkins and long-term lifestyle diet change. That will have to start after my trip though.
Will not be logging diet specifics. I already type them once into a phone app. The diet will be straight meat and veggies, so nothing that will require much detail anyway.
So I had fallen off the wagon, mostly because of 2 things: enjoying life with a lovely girl and having to work a boring office job that drains willpower. I am now self-employed and able to focus on intense fat loss goals. So now I will be using gll's fat loss diet until 8% bf. I expect it to take 3 months at 2 lbs loss /week, though it may be much sooner with the water weight lost from very low carbs. My plan summarized:
-wake up, take medication (will cut appetite & bcaa's)
-do a few lifts for 15-30 min
-through the day, drink protein shakes with veggies, whole meat, and broccoli
-1 day/week free eating day
