I take Vegge greens which are a very similar product just about every day. Of course it won't be exactly the same as if the fruits and veggies were fresh, since Greens don't contain all of one fruit, they are processed and refined and then combined in the right ratio.
I compare how I feel now vs when I worked in produce and ate 7-13 serving of extremely fresh fruits and veggies per day, and it's just about the same, but when I was only eating grains and meat I felt a lot shittier overall.
So the way I see it it's much better to be taking Greens than not to be consuming fruits and veggies at all. It's better still to be eating fruits and veggies, but you won't shorten your lifespan if you take the supplements, and realistically who wants to eat that much fruit and vegetables.
Source: My mom is a PhD in food science and says you should be eating fruits and vegetables, but looked at the Vegge greens and gave them the thumbs up.
@BiggestLoser Are you sure greens powder is processed/refined? I was under the impression it was just dehydrated fruits and veggies. Plus, the main ingredients aren't technically fruits and veggies, but rather spirulina, chlorella, and barley grass, which have similar benefits.
Nope. No supplement can replace Any wholefood. That's what the supplement company want's us to believe and make money of us.
There will never be a protein powder that's better than a solid meal. Never a Vitamin Produt that's better than a Fruit salad.
For you being on a bulk it should come easy. If you really have troubles eating the Fruits blend em.
