Bit of a cross post from the introduction section, but I really want to shout about how great Chris's diet advice is. This is literally the only thing other than straight up starvation that has ever worked for me. Doing the GLL diet without the fasted workouts but with a daily 2+ hour bike ride got me incredible results:
Before- 205 pounds, ~ 25% body fat.
After 2 months- 174 pounds, ~ 17% body fat.
I added Quest bars to the diet basically in place of the protein shakes, and frankly I don't have great self control with them things- 4 in a day was not unheard of. Lately I have quit the Quest bars, while they are low carb I think they are way too easy to overeat. I also occasionally do a steak in stead of chicken, and I prepare both on a George Foreman grill.
You're getting close to the point where you can stop worrying about losing fat, and start working towards putting on muscle.
You'll still have to maintain a good diet if you want to be ripped when you put your muscles on though
Wow holy shit- I'm going on the diet page? Thanks! To be fair the before pic is from a downward angle and I think it makes me look a little bigger, but yeah- this was a dramatic change.
Not to gush or anything but HOLY SHIT I can't believe you saw this post. Chris you are my hero I didn't think I'd ever be able to do this, and while admittedly it took some of my own willpower I credit my success 100% to you.
And yeah the Quest bars can get expensive especially if you go overboard- another reason I had to drop them. But imo they taste better than candy once you're used to them.
So I hadn't been following the diet since school started really. Didn't regress at all, still hovering at 171-174. I've decided to recommit and make every fucking effort to get my 6 pack though. I think I'm still at about 17% BF, nothings really changed. But I'm working hard! I've been totally GLL diet clean since Friday, so thats 4 days so far, with 2 workouts. Today I ran 2.75 miles in 22 minutes! super stoked on my running progress. I'm increasing by 1 minute per workout, and then at 30 minutes I'm probably gonna switch to increasing by .1 mph per day. I anticipate being able to lose 8 lbs by the end of october, which should be most of the way to my 6 pack. I think overall its probably gonna take 10-15 lbs total loss to get there, so I am projecting somewhere between 6-10 weeks till I make it! Wish me luck guys!
Alright restarting... this is difficult while in school/stressed, but I am starting again and moving forward. Haven't made any progress or regression basically since the beginning of this thread.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
