Haven't really exercised for years and my diet is quite poor. I'm not sure if I care enough about my body to start going to the gym but I'm curious as to what my body fat levels are. Mostly because I want to know whether losing some fat could improve how my face looks. What do you think?

Yes, get under 10%. Yes, start hitting the gym. If you dont "care enough about your body" to hit the gym, thats kind of the wrong attitude. It will improve your life in more ways than just improving your chances with women, so its definitely something you want to consider.

You need to put on a lot more muscle mass. My advice is to stop caring about your bodyfat for some time. Go for a clear bulk for like a year. With a nice diet you wont get too bloated and fat. But honestly your main focus should be adding more muscle, stop caring about bodyfat.

Dude, you have a good physique. You could get a lot of women pretty easily without changing anything about your body. If you want to get bigger for other reasons, by all means do so, but I wouldn't worry about not being able to attract women with your current body.

I've come to realize, that guys here give a lot of 'bulking' advice, because the first thing that gets considered is the presence in clothes. Keep in mind though 1) You have an above-average face by being around 10% (according to Chris) 2) You also have an above-average style (I assume) Of course you can further improve your sexappeal by increasing presence, but please keep in mind, that it is extremely hard to have a presence and be lean as a natural at the same time. At leaste it will take a considerate amount of time. By all means, I would not 'let go' of the bf%, simply to bulk up. For the time bulking, you are worse off. Keep that in mind. "Raw eggs, heavy weights & dick pumps!"

You don't look skinny at all. We can clearly see your muscles. Skinny men don't have any muscles. They are skeletons. Maybe it's the picture. Post some others pictures with your clothes on. Yeah, I would say around 11-12% BF. Only trust your own experience.

It's hard to say, you have little to no muscle mass, which makes you appear less lean, id say 14%. It appears that you are storing some fat in your chest, it could be simply that you do not have muscle mass there which gives it a fatty appearance, either way, the last thing on your mind should be body fat, you need to add muscle mass, for one you may have a low BF % but it does not look like it becuase of your lack of muscle. The more muscle you have the leaner you appear, my suggestion is build muscle, you will look 100 X better.

A few of you seem to be missing the point a little though. As I said I'm not really looking to have a good/decent body, at least its not my priority, I'm more concerned that I want to get success from cold approaching women but don't feel I'm in the 'above average' category which actually makes cold approach worthwhile. I appreciate I would look better with more muscle mass but its likely to take me years to get to the point where I look like I lift in clothes. I'll also likely be less attractive during this phase due to a higher body fat while bulking. What I'm trying to figure out is if I don't look above average at this body fat should I accept that cold approaching might not be for me? Or would I be better off trying to get sub 10% body fat in the hope that might change things?
This is more a long the lines of what I was wondering, I'm not completely opposed to adding more muscle to my body but I'm more concerned with what is going to be the better option in the short term.
Aha, thanks I guess. I definitely do look skinny in clothes though. Like smaller than the average non-fat guy. |
