Been curious about this, but i always imagine that it'd be harder to do your workout, especially if you're lifting heavy, since you don't have anything to burn for energy. Thoughts?
Every goddamn day. Get in there.

You release more adrenaline and you waste less ebergy on digestion when you train fasted. I don't think this will work if you are not ketogenic though as blood sugar will drop and you will feel crap. If keto and blood sugar drops the ketones fuel the brain and cells.

This really is hit or miss depending on the individual. Some guys can truly get up at 4 in the morning and kill it on an empty stomach.
Some guys can't. I've been lifting seriously for 8 years and anytime I've tried to go without any meals in me I've always felt like shit. Gotta listen to your body and adjust accordingly. |

I tried traning fasted, I felt like shit, my lifts suffered, it was the worst, however I have friends that are able to train with more intensity and have better overall workouts fasted, its up to the individual try it out and see how you like it.

I train better fasted because having food in my stomach severely impairs my performance. When I train fasted I do have a little bit of food in my stomach however, like an apple.
It does require several weeks of adjustment though. You can't suddenly decide one day you wanna try this and then expect to have optimal results on your first workout. Your body has to get used to it. My every day life in general has become more simple by adopting IF principles. Basically, I never get hungry, I don't require food in my system to perform well (although, as mentioned, something small is beneficial for optimal performance), I save a lot of time in the morning by not eating, I don't have to think about bringing food with me everywhere, I now prefer feasting over small meals, cooking is simpler, etc. PENETRATION IS IMMINENT.

This pretty much sums it up perfectly. If you try it and feel like shit, then you are going to have to eat some food. The most important thing to the workout and getting in there and going hard. Be an animal in there. Eating fasted or not is way less important than working out with intensity. |

I am a big "leangains" fan - which is basically a system of intermediate fasting and macro-cycling.
Check out these articles to understand all benefits of fasted training: http://www.leangains.com/2010/09/fasted-training-insulin-sensitivity.html http://www.leangains.com/2010/05/fasted-training-boosts-endurance-and.html http://www.leangains.com/2010/05/early-morning-fasted-training.html |

I train fasted (when my schedule permits), and other days it's the mid afternoon or evening. I have been tracking my workouts like an anal nerd. My lifts are very similar whether fasted or not (still cutting).
I don't know all the bro-science in play, but it seems like it is dependent on the individual. 4/1/13: Body Stats- 5'11", 190 lbs., mesomorph, muscular body, no abs (20% BF), doing GLL Fat Loss Diet
4/1/14: 183 lbs., 15.0% BF, need to add more cardio Goal: 10% BF, 170 - 175 lbs. and a physique similar to Vin Armani (Google Him). |

It really doesn't matter if you have a "good" workout or not because you will still be burning at least 300x fat as Chris has said.
You're not really trying to go hard with the weights, you're just trying to wear yourself out. Basically you don't want to focus on causing too much micro trauma, you really just want to expend the energy that the muscles are holding. Why? Because then when your body needs energy it doesn't turn to the glycogen in the muscles (because there is none), it uses the fatty acids stored in the fat cells for a quick and steady supply of energy - this is the fat literally being burned up. Caffeine always helps me in the morning. #1 Goal - Make $1000 a week.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
