Proper food is better than protein powder so you should only drink a shake during/after your workout. The rest of the protein better come from food. There are also major differences between different protein powders - hydrolyzed protein is your best bet and you can also guzzle that down during your workout without worrying about your stomach getting upset.

Nah, I'm not cutting yet. I need to get adjusted to eating 3000 calories plus so that when I start cutting I don't have to cut a stupid amount of calories.
