Go ham as possible and you'll find a happy point somewhere below the buff threshold. It also depends what you are going for. If you want DTF quantity girls then buff as possible. If you want GF-quality girls then somewhere around this guy is ideal IMO
One of my main GF-quality FB's said "don't get too big" "don't lose your neck" "bulky guys don't look good in clothes"
If gym isn't YOUR LIFE (workout 5x 90 mins a week, count and weigh calories, bench over 300lbs), you won't pass the buff threshold. Reaching 10% bf will get you noticeably more action from girls who were once out of your league. Think (7's to 8's) to (8's and 9's).
I actually saw more action when I passed that threshold you're talking about. I started working and the routine got me working out 5-6 times a week and benching 335 max (I'm 5'10 180lbs) and that was when I started getting hot girls coming up to me at the gym and in bars as opposed to having to approach them (which I was having success with).
It matters a lot how wide your hips are. If you have wide hips from working out legs or genetics, you really, really need to get a big upper body before girls start disliking it. In my case, my hips are so wide that my upper body is not gonna get big enough to be "gross" as long as I don't take a shitload of steroids or something.

All these guys who keep talking about what kind of physique is "too muscular" for woman will never in their lifetimes even come close to achieving that kind of size, nor be able to afford the drugs necessary to do so, so don't even worry about it.
Get as ripped as you can while holding as much size as you can = ideal physique for you.
^ spot on
In my opinion work on (focus in on) your shoulders/V-taper in addition to the above quote.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
