What up fellas?
This is a quick post for anyone that has experience trying any of the kinobody courses they offer. Let me know what your experience has been like. I've hit a plateau in body type and I want to shake things up to make going to the gym exciting again. I've been pretty consistent for a year and half now but variety is the spice of life dawg. Let me know. Thanks!

He basically copied 80 % of his material from Martin Berkhan's Lean Gains Method.
Fasting works in the sense that it makes eating on budget more managable since it blunts your hunger in the morning you eat more during the evening (therefore making you full for the last couple of hours before bed) I personally fast longer in the morning and less in the evening. IF itself doesn't make you ripped or anabolic like Kinobody or other IF guru's tell you you still need to manage your calories and macros. IIFYM AND IF combined is where it's at. His training methods isnt very great either, reverse pyramid can be effective since you use a double progression of reps and weight on multiple ranges and rest pause training is just another form of set extensions to go "beyong failure" like doing drop sets, which was popularized in the 80's by mike mentzer see his book heavy duty training. His exercise selection isn't uncommon either. Lots of delts, abs, arms, incline press, overhead press, dips, very little legs. Physique/aesthetic guys usually do little to no heavy back squatting or conventional deadlifts to minimize thigh and waist size (in the obliques in particular). The chin up both supinated and neutral grip have been shown to recruit more bicep than the barbell curl and more back than pronated pullups, rows and deadlifts. They have also been shown to recruit more abdominals than alot of ab exercises and will recruit less obliques than heavy squats and deads. So ya increasing your weight on weighted chins is a good idea! He also doesnt train calves...AT ALL...i dont agree with that even if you have shit calve genetics its better to train them and add 1 inch and more definition over your lifting career than add none... His biggest flaw is his Low volume and low frequency. As a natural and even moderately enhanced your gains will be made with moderate to high frequency (muscles hit every 48-96 hours) and volume depends on the muscle group (30-90 reps per session). A shit load of studies show that for the most part your muscles will be recovered after 48 hours and the longest time it takes in studies is 96 hours. Once a week is going to cut it and isn't optimal. Don't get me wrong he looks good especially when is on cycle, and yes he is on gear and if you don't believe me you need to educate yourself WAAAYY MOOREEE but in short being a gear user or a natty doesnt mean 3 grams of gear or 0 grams. Alot of these fake natties a cycling on and off 0.5 to 1.5 grams a week or might of just done a couple cycles than are just cruising on HRT. Look at his delts, look at how his size and definition fluctuates 2-3 times a year...look at how good he looks for his poor training methods... If you want a more effective program i would look into body of a spartan by victor pride and eric's helms pyramid of muscle and nutrition on youtube. Broscience has it's place but 80% of your training should be science based. 31 Lays all in under 3 years

Ya so
What he is right on is training your upper body (espicially the typical aesthetic muscles like delts, abs, arms, upper chest, upperback, i would also add in upper traps/neck aswell). And stuff like counting your macros aka IIFYM aka flexible , tracking your main lifts and adding weight to the bar over time aka progressive overload. And reverse pyramid training, rest-pause training and intermittent fasting does work but so does other programs so its a personal preference. Everything else is bs or exaggerated. You honestly don't need his programs. He acts and talks like his program is the ONLY and MOST effective way to a magic mike/avengers body but nothing could be further from the truth. 31 Lays all in under 3 years

I`ve done a bit more research on him and turns out that one of his programs is too hit a muscle every 96 hours with a push rest pull rest repeat type of template So that could work, but im pretty sure his other programs only hit muscles once a week. Don't go out and buy it i just told you the basics.
The only way that training a muscle once a week that would work, would be for dominant/gifted body parts so you have more time and space for volume on lagging parts which you could train 2-3 times a week more heavily since you arent focusing that much on a giffted bodypart which probably still going to make progress once a week. For instance if you have dominant thighs and you think theyre a good size and your calves are shit you could drop your thighs to once a week then bump up your calves too 3 times a week. 31 Lays all in under 3 years

If you search around on the interwebs, you'll find a lot (all?) of the Kinobody advice for free.
You may or may not have respect for the source(s) that are providing you with that free information. if you spend hours looking at all the Kinobody videos and blog posts, you can also get the majority of the information for free (spread out). It'll take time. The questions are thus: 1. Can you trust the bro's giving you free advice? (Bros, please don't be offended. I know some of you really know your shit). 2. What's it worth to you to cut through all the bullshit and have a SPECIFIC program(s) designed to produce a SPECIFIC result? Greg does one thing and one thing only: get you from where you are now to looking like you belong up on the silver screen in one of three Hollywood physiques (Warrior Shredded, Greek God, and Superhero). Well, that's three variations of the one thing. I've purchased Kinobody's programs and have no complaints. I'm an actor and need to create and maintain a year round image where I'm always ready to take my shirt off (if the role calls for it) and look fucking amazing. I'm well on my way. So, if you're an actor or just want to look like one, go for Greg's programs. Spend the money so you don't have to spend hours on end researching online and changing your program every few weeks as some new bro told you something that contradicts what you've been doing. Kinobody will NOT give you the body that impresses weightlifters ("squats hard or go home"). It will give you the body that women want (Hollywood spends millions of dollars doing research on what women respond to up on the silver screen - it ain't the bro physique). Temporarily unavailable as I need to focus on other areas of my life. Only focusing on no more than two goals at once. Best of luck to you guys.

None of his stuff is ground-breaking, because there isn't anything ground breaking about getting in shape. It's just that 99% of the population is lazy or doesn't know what they're doing.
Eat in a calorie deficit, do cardio, as you plateau, decrease calories and increase cardio duration/frequency slightly each time you plateau. Rinse and repeat + Eat enough protein to hold onto muscle tissue and lift heavy and hard. Not rocket science. I've seen this guys stuff, it's basically the laziest way possible to get in shape. Lifting 3 times per week will not maximize muscle growth, and Intermittent fasting is good for dieting, if you can't stick to a regimented clean diet and are looking for an excuse to fill your macros with shitty food in a binge period each night (not always the case, but it's usually why guys choose IF). I mean, if it was 9pm at night and I had 1500 calories left to eat that day, I sure as shit wouldn't eat 30 ounces of chicken breast, I'd probably get some McDonalds and eat some tacquitos (not optimal for muscle building) and it's also what most people following this guy shit do as well. If you want a decent physique with minimal effort pretty much then yes, his stuff is good. If you are serious about packing on real muscle and having a respectable physique, then no his program is lazy as shit. |

I use it. I've always found the volume to be too much for me per workout, so I do more frequent training (5-6 days a week with low volume per workout). I noticed that a lot of the work he does - direct or not - hits the arms. He also has some interesting ideas about Rest Pause and shoulder work.
I agree with others. Don't pay for his material. The workouts are the same on the site as in the books and he explains the diet every second video. You won't be buying anything new for the 40 dollars it costs. Definitely worth trying, but you have to make it your own and might respond better to more volume or more frequency and less rests. So is there another lifting program you'd recommend for a natural lifter looking to put on as much size as possible? I know that it will need to be adjusted to the individual but I really don't possess that knowledge yet and would like to be able to dive in and start getting some results as I learn and make adjustments. (Is there any copy-paste program out there with clear directions that you can recommend?) I've been lifting heavy low reps for a couple years now and my progress has pretty much stalled... |

Exactly. This is why I did IF last Winter. I was addicted to junk food and didn't want to deal with the addiction. It sort of worked. But nothing like once I actually handled the addiction and cleaned up my diet. I got interested in the Kinobody stuff because it gave me an excuse to be lazy. Greg even says it at some point. Something like, "you can lose fat while eating cookies every night!".
How often do you recommend lifting per week for max growth? |

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
