So, i have started following the body of a spartan workout, and yesterday after working out with heavier weight than i was used to, i got a very stiff neck/shoulders. Been taking an anti-inflamatory + ben gay and its much better today, so i'm wondering if i should give it a days rest, or hit the gym anyways.
Hi there Kent, well i always stretch before/after. Guess it's the pains of growth right!? Well i skiped yesterday because it was really bad, but i'm feeling a bit better now so i'm hitting the gym in a few minutes, going to avoid most of the stuff that strains the back tho, thanks for the feedback.
Hey Deltsbrah, thanks for the info man. I actually sustained the stiff neck for a while, had to take some anti-inflamatories to get better. Guess i was doing some stuff wrong and i was getting the whip effect that really fucked me up, been working on my form to prevent that from happening again. Def going to google up that info you posted and get informed. Missed a few days in the gym due to work, so that coupled with the meds and i'm probably ok to start hitting the gym again tonight.
