TOPIC: POF Now Blocks Sexual Messages & Age Limit Restriction

Well I wasn't super sexual, but what I did do was message a girl saying it looked like she had cum in her hair on her phone and she should clean her mirror. I tried twice to send it, but even though it said "Message Sent" I noticed it didn't show up in my sent box or conversation with her. I had to take out the word "Cum" and just used "A little something", before it went through. No response from the first 2 messages as I'm sure they didn't go through. Then she rofled at the last message and told me it was on purpose.


I'll tell you what, I'll create a female account message it from my other account and get back with you the results.

Ok so I sent a total of 4 message to the account. The first 2 did not go through even though it says "Message Sent" but as the Sender I knew that because they do not show up in your sent messages. Yeah it says "Message Sent" because that's easy and he wants to fool you, but changing it so it shows up in your outbox is a bit more complicated / time consuming / time is money. He's also trying to fool women btw. Trying to convince them he did a bunch of work and that we need to work together to make the site more relationship friendly, but for real this filter has been in place a lot longer than a few months. He might as well have got on his hands and knees and begged them to stay and not give up or switch to OKC as his shitty site he duct taped together falls apart. At the end of the day I think he really just cares about keeping relationship focused women from leaving the site.

I am actually more affected by another change that is not mentioned above. I am one of the guys who keeps his images private. Not one of them are of my penis, or even a bare chested pic. They are regular pics of me.

I am a high school teacher. I have a female friend who was on that website last year. One of her students was prowling that site one day and found her. It got around to all of her students, others teachers (I didn't care actually), and administrators. A constant harassment ensued from her students about everything in her profile and her being on there. She ended up transferring to another school. I decided to play it safe and make my pics private. When I want to talk to someone, I include my pics in the message. This has never been a problem before.

However, now, because of all the guys sending women pics of their junk without being asked for it, they have changed the rule. Men can have private pics, but we are not allowed to send them to women. What is the point in even being allowed to have them if this is the case? A better solution would have been to have all pics, private or not, be screened before being allowed on the site or to be sent through messages. I know I would voluntarily spend some time reviewing other pics to help with that cause.

Yes but sometimes you could be a full blown good looking loser and have no social freedom and in this case it would be very beneficial to use pof as a means to get experience while you deal with your AA.

You can just use special characters in replace of letters to get around it. Just check your sent mail to see if it went through after you send the message. You'll notice it's not there if you messed up, and will send if you do it right.

1) if you send 4 identical messages within 24 hours?
2) if the messages are truly IDENTICAL messages (including captializations and punctuation)? Or will slight adjustments to position of apostrophes, commas, full-stops etc mean they aren't seen as identical?
3) the rule applies only to consecutive messages? So to get round it could you say have 5 templates, each slightly different as in the above punctuation examples, and just cut and paste v1 to 1st chick; v2 to 2nd chick; v3 to 3rd chick; v4 to 4th chick; v5 to 5th chick; v1 to 6th chick; v2 to 7th chick; etc etc? Or is it the case that whatever the spacing in between them if you sent out 4 x v1 message you get a block on your messages for 24 hours?

they are any 4 identical openers within 24 hours, doesn't have to be consecutive.  That means if you add a period or comma in there you should be safe.



The best way to get around this easy is to have your basic opener like:  "You seem cool. What are you up to?"
but somewhere in the opener, add their name (it's usually in their username or the new feature where its in big bold letters on the top of the 'About Me')  so it would be  "You seem cool Jen. what are you up to?" 
This way you paste the opener, then add the name in afterwards. Doesn't take much time at all.

POF is definitely a sex negative site and the quality of women on there has gone way down in the last few years at least in my area. This was the final straw for me, I'm OK Cupid only now, way better matching algorithms, met my new gf on there actually, definitely more interesting/cute girls on thei as well, although nothing beats daygame IMO.
