Stream of consciousness
In the western world money equals freedom. We are brought up to get our education, work 9-5, pay our taxes, raise a family, and be good devoted citizens. Our parents, friends, family all tell us that this is the true way to a great life. If you somehow go against this "idea" ordinary people will often question your ideas, and put social pressure upon you to think like them. You say "I don't want to work my life away 9-5 in an office..." And people will look at you like you are crazy, and there doesnt exist alternatives. Truth is that we are brought up with alot of commercials on televisions that tells us to buy alot of useless crap that is supposed to fulfill us. Consumerism tells us to GET a shitload of money, work 40 hours a week, and then spend, spend, spend, spend on useless shit that the commercials have brainwashed us to get. I overheard one of my friends the other day who's a promoter at a exclusive night club.. A guy ordered some bottle service... 1500$ for a night out. If you are into this kind of consumerism, then go ahead, get a shitload of money. People buy new expensive clothes all the time... Drive expensive cars.. Pay alot for gas... Burn alot of their money on booze... Take expensive loans to buy stuff they can't afford and shit like that.... People are always broke these days... I'm not saying that it's wrong to spend money, but in this society money = freedom... I'm actually happy that alot of people are like this, and spends ALOOOT fo money. Cause they make the business grow, and enables me to earn money too. If all people was like me, I wouldn't be able to sell any stuff or make any money.... A business succes is measured in sales... how many sales can this business do... if no one wants to buy, the business will fail. Many women are deep into this and loooooves to use all their money on new shoes all the time. Some of them might even want a man who can provide them with a SICK consumer lifestyle where you might come up short if you dont' display that.... But I believe you can fake this to a certain extent So try to just cover these basic, and see if you can be happy, get the sex-live you deserve, and have much more time and less financial worries in your life... If you can get happy with just this, you will much more free from the rat-race where you don't get enough sleep, and hate ur fucking life - Cheap rent apartment or room in a decent sized city (this is most important) - Gym membership - Cheap food... Eat the same stuff everyday. - Wear the same 1-2 cool outfits - A phone Well, that's all u need... |

spend extravagantly on what you love, cut back on everything else.
I also want to add, I was living pay check to pay check a while back with a wingman trying to get laid and life wasn't fun, when an unexpected car bill comes because you drive a beater it makes getting women not as enjoyable because you are sweating over if your electricity is going to get cut. There was a lot of stuff I wanted to do but couldn't because I didn't have the money. So I pursued a career that one could call more "safe" in the the healthcare industry and I will be able to do the stuff I wanted like buy a cool outfit, go to costa rica and bang the hotties when I want to, buy a muscle car. |

Real shit Sam.
Consumerism is killing countries especially the USA. We own so much money to China. Last year I bought tons of blurays & video games. Wasted so much money. Never again. Only spending money on: Food, Metro cards, Rent, & Clothes. Just a Regular Mutherfucker

Sort of, there is a difference b/t mindlessly spending $$ on just crap, and spending significant $$ on things that are actually worth significant amounts of $$$ in your life. Issue with Spartan living is it also denies even simple pleasures, one becomes all about money and self denial when in the final analysis, there will always be a slow walk and a dirt nap in store for every single one of us. I'd happily pay good money for a suit, or good shoes, or tailoring or a haircut, those raise value and personal worth, to just vomit money for crap that just wastes hard assets (like time, focus etc) is simply stupid. Rule #1..always ask for it

Well, just think about it
If you can learn to live for 1000$-1500$ a month to finance your lifestyle... then it isn't entirely unrealistic to work your ass off and start something that your are passionate about that gets minimum 1000-1500$ in profits a month... then you're completely free you will probably have more time to get even more money without worrying about financing the basics, or spending time on other stuff that you like all in all it's a good starting point let's say you live for 1500$ a month, and earn 4500$month that's 3000$ a month you'll save in ur bank account do this for a year, and you have 36000$ damn... after a year you just lost your job or your business go bankrupt... guess what - you can survive for fucking 2 years and "recover" and try to get the wheels to roll again or in theory take a 2 year "vacation" where you focus on some goals you have Money = freedom but can also be Money = slavery all we can be sure of is we all gonna die some day and our bodies will some day rot down the earth.... so think about how you wanna live your life, and use the days, months and years you'll never get back as you'll like you'll wake up some day, and realize you are 88yrs old, and that you havn't got a fucking gold medal by playing by the rules and following the norms.... |

This depends on the person, for me making money was always fun, I love thrill of investing, learning from losses ... Good and bad, love it all
![]() I am also not one for saving(beyond reasonable amounts of course) ... Even if you save $36k per year in 10 years you are still gonna be poor with $360k sorry :/ This amount of money here gets me decent house and car - Are all my dreams really nice house/car and a bit of traveling ? Playing around with this money and even losing it all in 10 years will gain you experience, that is in my opinion worth more than 10 houses. I remember buddy telling me that I am stupid for investing pretty big amount(that I earned by selling big website) in stocks and losing it all when I was 18-19(5yrs ago) - Today I make about 10 times his salary, working probably 10 times less than he does(I used to work a lot more but I am a bit depressed now because of other things, no motivation to work more). He to claims he doesn't care about money now ![]() Guess this depends on the person, another buddy of mine almost lost his mind doing the same kind of things I do and is now happy with 9-5 job. He said he loves it when he comes home and doesn't have to think about work/money and can just lie back and enjoy good movie .... For me this IS DEATH. I was way happier when making money was all I was thinking about every minute that I was awake. It fucked me up socially and made very insecure about everything else though(reasons for depression), so there is always trade-off. |

@Dannyboy
You suffer from depression... Maybe you should try something new. |

Nope to the depression, yep to trying something new. 50% guy gets wiped out, they tuck tail and run away into a 9 to 5 life, Elite guy is wiped out, they merely take the chance to reload and do it again only better. Mistakes and misreads become obvious, how to handle money properly becomes obvious. This stuff is a cycle, talent will rise, weak monkeys fall down and stay down. Don't be a weak little monkey Rule #1..always ask for it

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
