I came from the marine side and started as a fisherman (Dealiest Catch kinda fishing), which is rather uncommon. I was a top Captain when I was 21 years old, it's all about being driven. The oil industry is the same, you have to be better than everyone else and you will move up quickly. You can easily get a start on a rig floor, Texas and the Dakotas are booming these days. Be smart, with an eye towards promotion, make friends with everyone, and if you've got what it takes you'll get promoted in no time. I know guys would were bums & stoners when we grew up and they are driller and toolpushers now making 1000 bucks a day. 6' 1" - 245lbs - 11% BF

Interesting thread.
I'm just a boring network admin for a pretty large company. I wasn't going to post my salary, but seeing as to how some of your guys are raking it in, my $65k a year now seems like peanuts / also, lol @ you dude who are strippers, in a good way! I didn't think women went to shit like that, I thought a male stripper would get 95% gay dudes oogling him. As for pros and cons of what I do? Pros: - I love technology, so being knee deep in server hardware is always cool as shit. Feels like I'm controlling my own Skynet - I don't deal with people. A while back I was a helpdesk jockey. Dealing with people SUCKS!!! I'm not a people person, so being away from that bs is awesome. - I'm a tech god to most people, even other techs. I'm not knowledgeable in every technology (there's too damn much of it) but enough to impress most non techies and even most techies. - I never get hassled by management as long as all the shit's running in order. Cons: - ZERO women! Like fucking zilch! A couple of nasty ones who are fat and ugly (web designer chicks) get huuuuuuge attention from all the nerds. They used to flirt majorly with me but I had zero interest. My hand was more appealing. - Usually have to stay overtime and weekends for a bunch of upgrades and shit. Can't weasel out of it. If it needs to get done I have to be there. Trump = Balls of Steel!!!

I work offshore as well. wtf.... our drillers make 32.50 an hour and our toolpushers make about 150k/year. A lot of them are jumping ship to get on with bigger companies though. Strange times in the oil field. I'd love to know what rig you're on, but due to the nature of the site I know that'd be asking too much. Good to see a fellow hand on here though. FWIW, (this is just my opinion) land rigs seem easier to get on than offshore. You will go straight into roughnecking which kinda sucks, but I personally think you have a better chance of getting hired.

Online Business Owner and Entrepreneur
Work when I choose basically Pros: * Being my own boss * Not having to deal with people that suck * Can work on my schedule, or not work at all * Can make as much money as I like, the skies the limit (I'm currently upto about $85K USD annually gross - but would like to get up to as much as $250K USD annually gross, and believe it's achievable with my current plan in the next 2-3 years) * Completely mobile, can work anywhere in the world as long as I have an internet connection * Can work from pretty much any environment, like anywhere with an internet connection, such as starbucks, etc * Can create new projects, business ideas, etc * MANY options for creating passive income Cons: * Can be socially isolated * You have to be highly self motivated, otherwise you'll go under I've currently just started doing walk in sales several days a week for my own business, so that I solve the problem of social isolation and spending too much time on the computer alone. This will allow me to work on my social skills/sales ability, gives me variation in my job, etc. Plus I can pickup girls in between visiting businesses ![]() So there's not really any cons for me now, as I'm pretty highly self motivated. My current main business focus is in my signature, and if anyone is interested, I'm happy to talk over skype with you about what's possible (nicke833) Cheers Random facts about my cock (updated regularly):
*Lived a pretty sedentary life until his late 20's *Loves to get his feet wet *has his fingers in many pies *never puts all his eggs in one basket *has a tendency to throw up when rubbed up the wrong way (or right way) *prefers vaginas, though he tried an ass (girls only) once and found it quite enjoyable |

While Cappy makes a shit ton, that line of work is extremely tough and demanding. Like literal back breaking hard work. Nothing to sneeze at for sure. You earn your money in that job.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
