So hosting a party coming up soon, 40 people saying there coming on FB, 15 Maybe, Another 40 invited and havent responded and of some of the 40 people who are deffiantly coming i have said some can bring some roomates (Some brining 3-5) Now the house is quite small (Student house) so we only really have the back garden (And we have the tiny front garden where a few people could stand and smoke or chat) and the kitchen area (Though im also thinking of emptying my room and putting a beer pong table in there)
So any ideas on what i can do? its coming up and i have no real plan yet. The idea is we drink in the house for a few hours and then go out, There is a huge sound system and someone covering the music so that is sorted. The thing is though not everyone knows everyone (though most people will) i dont want it to be shit for anyone. Im thinking of buying alchol but buying it for 40+ fairly heavyweight drinkers i think its going to be expensive as fuck. Everyone knows to bring there own drink anyway and everyone expects that but im thinking if i buy more alchol and share it out there will be alot less chance of it being shit.
Don't let them fuck up your house and don't get it busted.
Put tarp over any flooring you don't want drinks spilled. Cover or remove any expensive items that want safe into a locked room. Keep smoking to a garage or back yard because this is how most parties get busted when people know there's a party there due to noisy people on your front yard. Cover the main door window with a pizza box so that people can't see inside and can't wander into your party or tempt them to call the cops.
You don't want people to think it's a party when walking by or else it raises heat and people could call the cops for a disturbance. If you don't want people going upstairs or downstairs or into any rooms then make it clear with tape that you don't want people going in.
Music can't be too loud so that it affects neighbors. See if your neighbors are cool with you having a party and extend the invitation to them if they're cool. If you wake people up or they can't study then you're in trouble and could get a fine for a noise complaint.
Other than that if you have a cool crowd of people coming, there's enough girls(not a sausage party) and you play some cool music then you're golden!
Ok sick thanks for the advice, Most of the advice doesent apply to us though, I mean its a student house so drink spillage, Loud music etc is pretty much a standard night, we live in a student area so music isnt a issue (and neighers would not walk in or call cops - This happens atleast 3X a week at our place) There is somewhere set to smoke though (Backgarden) Everyone in the house will be attending to waking up people isnt a issue (And baring in mind the "Party" or more like pre drinks will end at around 11-12 when we head to town) think we will be fine.
The bottom part (Cool crowd, Enough girls and cool music seems good) i think ive got all that covered, I know everyone coming are cool people, i think theres enough girls but defiantly not 1:1 and the guy setting up music has been doing it for a while. Im still unsure on weather to buy alcohol for the party or not, I might spend like £100-£200 on some and just give it to the people who show up early/on time.
My friends and I used to throw parties for money in college. 200+ people in a house that was definitely not big enough for that many people. The biggest thing is keeping the traffic in the basement of your house. If you don't have a basement, you are gonna have a bad time with the amount of people you're inviting.
1. Do you have friends helping you throw this? If so, collect some money from them. $20 from 10 or 15 friends goes a long way toward making a night worthwhile. They would be spending that money out partying anyway.
2. Buy cheap ass liquor. $10 a handle cheap. Find a recipe online for jungle juice and make a Gatorade cooler full of it.
3. Put that in your basement so people congregate there.
4. Put towels in front of your windows. Feel free to overdo it here. Things get messed up throughout the night anyway.
5. Do NOT let people in off the street.
Just some thoughts that helped my parties go well. Facebook events = big parties, so I would be ready for one.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
