Currently working full-time. I used to very depressed years back but my mood is relatively ok now. I'm working full-time and I just go to work and finish and go home and piss away the evenings on unproductive activities like watching youtube.
My general social skills are kinda sucky so I would like to improve them for their own sake as well as for game.
I've known about game for a couple of years now and I've read some books. I've even made some practical steps going out and 'gaming'.
But I feel so damn unmotivated, plus I feel kind of lost - I don't know which areas to build and which steps to take.
I'm 24 and I feel like I've wasted so much of youth, yet I still fuck about and don't take action, which I then beat myself up about.
Sorry for the whiny post...
But any advice on how to man up and seize one's life would be greatly appreciated!
First of all welcome,
Second, do not be so hard on yourself, at the very worst you have just been an average guy and thats ok, but you are here because you look to improve, which is awesome.
I know how it feels working full time and going back home unmotivated and drained from work and all you can do is waste time in front of computer and feel guilty, been there.
What you need to do is have easy doable goals and work on them every single day. Thats gonna help you build momentum, keep you motivated and have that winning mindset.
Work on your style and fitness... go to gym, have a good diet, work on your fashion... etc.
The best thing you can do right now is post your pictures , how do you look when you go out, because how you look is really important , you can change most of it, if not all. When you post pictures, people here will be honest and tell you what needs to be changed.
And the most importantly, stop reading other pick up books and resources other than this one, because its just gonna mess up your head
Welcome to the forums, man. I also work a full time job, and one of the best things I've found is to get in the gym, and train hard at least 3 days a week. My mood and energy levels are vastly improved when I'm going to the gym regularly. I've never had severe depression or anything, however when I'm not getting in the gym my motivation to do other things seems to die as well.
Motivation for me seems to work similarly to social momentum. Getting started is the hardest part, but once you do you can ride that wave and build upon it.
Three months since I was last here.
Since then I've been going to the gym twice a week, no excuses, and I've been watching and listening to a lot of self-help/development material.
Feeling a lot more motivated and goal-directed these days.
One recurring negative though is that I feel I'm too old to start gaming - I turn 25 in a few months - as I've had zero game all my life.
I've started Chris' 'Going out alone at night' program as I really want to see some progress and I'm sick of waiting for others to invite me out.
Also, it would be useful to find a community of PU-like people in my area. Does anyone have any idea where I can find people to go practiing with?

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
