Any of you guys have experience with or have a positive perception of these new 'auto-investing' wealth management platforms like Wealthfront and Betterment? Seems like an easy way to invest.

Seth,
Those companies do pretty much exactly what I said to do... You are best off spending a week learning how to duplicate their investment strategy without having to pay their fees If you are extremely lazy it is better than not investing at all... like I said, you want to dollar cost average, so every 2 weeks or every month you want to put in money |

I don't have any real world experience in finance yet but I am a finance major (one class left to graduate) and based on everything I've read this guy's advice is pretty much spot on. Trying to play the market is very tough. Most mutual fund managers can't even beat the market and they have hundreds/thousands of analysts working for them. And like he said if you only have a couple grand to invest and have no steady income you are probably better off investing in yourself(education,a business) |

A 50/50 mix of index funds and precious metals is a pretty good bet. They hedge against each other.

1. Mutual fund with 50% stocks and 50% bond
2. Considering using a Roboinvestor to get a diversified portfolio like the one quoted above. I'd have to do some research into the costs but as far as I can tell, they are extremely low. I think it's like 0.5% of portfolio per year. My question would be, does that include the transaction fees or is the 0.5% on top of ETF fees etc. Easy Money: How I Recommend Beginners Get Started Making Money Online

.5% is probably not including transaction fees. Why are you trying to get into bonds? I find them a really unattractive investment, especially in the current environment. There are better ways to receive fixed cash flows imo |

Any insight on REITs? Those sound really good to invest in but better to hear from experience.

I'm not trying to get into bonds. That's what I currently own (I've had it forever) but I generally agree with your statement (at least for young guys). Easy Money: How I Recommend Beginners Get Started Making Money Online

My investment portfolio is like my love life; I don't stay in anything very long.
I day trade; I'm in the process of growing my account with the goal of becoming financially FREE! If you're not hearing "no" you're not trying, if you're not getting laid you stopped trying at no.

Pretty conservative with my investments. Mutual Funds and Real Estate. However, I think plan to add crypto into my portfolio. (max 10%)

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
