2nding what Leopard said.
That photo looks way better. Your body language is more imposing and taking up space. Look like that when you go out (I'm not talking about clothing). Break out your smirk here and there and you'll do great. |

@ Rez and Leopard!
Thank you brothers - I have embraced the law of smirking and I already feel better for one thing - girls did still look through me - some even rolled their eyes but I just couldn't give a fuck. I am in control of my reality and in Idan-land the weather is sunny and sandy!! Deadbeat, I can't even begin to start to thank you for the time and effort you put into your responses in my thread. I apologise for taking so long to reply - I've been reading your post over and over again and watching that Ollie guy's videos. Interesting guy - I have to say I am blown away by what you have told me and it confirms my belief that all along I had no idea what I was doing. Obviously there are lots of sound contributors each with great advice, but honestly when you know nothing about fashion and have no instinct for what works and what doesn't it just feels like such a maze - one that is riddled with dead-ends just when you think you are getting somewhere. I felt like I had finally got somewhere with my style - I could definitely say I look better now than I ever had in my life (just see the first page in this thread). However, I realise it simply is not enough. I get rebuffed very quickly on almost all my approaches regardless if they are direct or indirect (well the latter is better but obviously gets me no-where) and I get virtually no smiles or warmth from girls at all. I know it is something to do with my looks and style - I am no fool. Some have suggested it is my vibe - maybe I am creeping the girls out and I can buy that for sure - most likely it is a combination of these things. So if I can get this style thing down then it is one thing without a shadow of a doubt that I won't have to worry about being a barrier or limiting factor. I've been wearing a lot of graphic tees and never even considered about the eyes those traps you spoke of. The other 50% of the time I wear dress shirts thinking dog tags would make them edgy even if they were reasonably well fitting. Some said the light blue shirt with grey jeans was my best look actually. I love the idea of casting a broad net - this is always what I wanted to achieve - to be as attractive to as many girls as possible without spending tons of money and time and keeping it all simple and clean. I never saw those scoop neck tees you linked me to - they look like they are worth the investment. You are going into the details I needed a long time ago. I have mostly dark jeans - black jeans, dark blue, dark gray and lightish gray. I have extremely muscular legs so after hunting for months I finally found Levi 508s to be the best for me. I also wear Kurt Geiger boots which bring my height from 5'7.5 to 5'10 with insoles. I realise though that this may not be enough - really need to get to 6'0 without looking like a cunt. What brand is that leather jacket? Which denim brand do you recommend also? Do you have links like you did for the scoop tees? OK here are some pics of me wearing vests = not the best quality as they are what I wear to the gym but the weather here is fit for them. Which brands for vests/tank tops? And the rest of the stuff in your recommended wardrobe? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Man I love you! No homo but I just LOVE the detail and help you are giving me. I really appreciate it! ![]() I'm getting closer to my former physique - I am gymming it 6 times a week now...4000 calories a day mostly fat This looks like shit right? ![]() Age 32 Cheeks clapped: 65+

Hey man, I am glad you found it useful! I was completely clueless too when I started so I know how confusing it can get. Most sources are way to general and don't focus on a specific type of style like we are here. I hope you are getting the BIGGER picture of edgy styles.
The two brands of leather jackets I wear are Danier and AllSaints. For denim I wear Joe's Jeans. I also have muscular legs, they were 27" at one point when I did powerlifting and had to wear a size 38 so my legs would fit haha. When it comes to choosing brands, you need to pay attention to the quality, fit, and style a brand throws out. Contrary to what you may have heard or read, more expensive IS usually better. This is because the cheaper a brand, the lower quality their clothing and the more generic they have to make the style. Higher designer brands' clothing will have higher quality and edgier style in general. To someone who knows style and fashion well, you can easily spot cheap clothing and girls can too. Go to my thread on suits, it's stickied above, and read #7. HOWEVER, when you are starting out, it's better to start with lower brands because you don't want to waste money. For now, the brands I recommend are Express, Zara, Forever21, and American Apparel. Higher end brands I like are AllSaints, John Varvatos, Andrew Marc, and stuff from high end designer shops like Neiman Marcus, Harry Rosen, and LuisaViaRoma. There's ton's more but those are the ones I have first hand experience with and clothing from. I do NOT recommend Macy's because I've found most of their clothing are cut way to large and not flattering at all. For tank tops, I used to buy from a company called Macri but they've since stopped producing the styles I like. Here are what I recommend: Vitaly Design Forever21 Singlets Zara singlets For denim jackets, check out ASOS, they have some good ones, but any of the brands I recommend above have good stuff. I do recommend shopping online opposed to in store to save time but you really have to know your size well. You can also post links of stuff you want to purchase and I can check it out and see if it's cool. I actually did 95% of my shopping online, if you are in the States it should be easy with returns and what not. Just make sure they have a return or exchange policy. The stores I recommended all do. |

Okay for your latest styles, first 4 with Cap, wifebeater, black jeans is killer! These are actually right on point in what you should wear in the warmer months. This type of sleeveless top with jeans or shorts are exactly the kind of look you need to be going for now. I will go into this in detail later. But you have the styles bang on here, good job!
When it's colder, you can throw your black leather jacket on top of that too. Can't go wrong with black on black. The last one isn't bad in terms of style but the Go Fuck Your Selfie just isn't cool... If you are balding, SHAVE YOUR HEAD! I recall a pic where your head was shaved and you looked so much more badass in that. Your facial aesthetics literally goes up like 1-2 points just by going bald opposed to what you are doing now. I'd boost my height as much as possible too. I played around with insoles too a while back out of curiosity and most people measure it wrong, be sure you are measuring heel height properly: Properly determining heel height 2" if properly boosted is already A LOT. The one where you are wearing the dress shirt and black jeans is a no go. I've mentioned the issue with the dog tags and necklaces hanging out of dress shirts already. Next issue is the fact your collars on the dress shirt are spread WAY too wide. Floppy, uncontrolled collar like that = Lesbocity/Gayness. You need shirts with COLLAR STAYS. Second, that shirt looks cheap as fuck by the way it drapes on you and the colour of it. Could be the lighting but notice how the fabric where the buttons are is much whiter than rest of the shirt, which is almost semi transparent. Thirdly, shirt and jeans is SOOOO over done and boring I'd avoid it all together. These may seem like nitpicking but the devil is in the details. If you approach girls looking like that, with dog tags hanging out, flopping collars, and that style of shirt, I can def see why they might not be too friendly. Everything is just OFF. Since it's summer and on topic of collared shirts, here's a better approach... This does take higher fashion sense since it's worn with shorts but that's what also adds the edginess. I am wearing a Robert Graham White Sport shirt in that picture. You can't see it but it's actually white patterned which makes it look richer in colour. The buttons are also mother of pearl. Notice how my collars are straight and not too wide spread. When it comes to dress shirts, only acceptable neckwear jewellery are chockers but you really have to know how to coordinate them, so for sake of simplicity, don't wear any jewellery with your button ups. Accessories I have on are 4 stacked wooden bead bracelets and a leather watch. Saved best for last, since you have a sick physique, you MUST show it off!!! Showing off how jacked like you are >>>> any type of styles. Wear tank tops with shorts and accessorize in the summer. What I wore today: Get these bracelets: Stacked beads Chocker I have on is the one but it's sold out Copper chocker Chocker 2 Both those can be worn under button up shirts and still look cool. Check out Etsy too, it's great for accessories. I realize it might be confusing still so I will simplify it more on what you should do next. It's summer right now, and since you have an excellent physique, the best route is the tank top and jeans/shorts (if you like wearing shorts) Your shopping list in this order: 1. 3-5 tank tops (not like the wifebeaters you had on earlier) from the links above, keep the design simple. Again, colour should be black, white, navy blue, or shades of grey. 2. The stacked bracelets above. 3*. A leather strapped watch. (Metal chain links are no go here) If you don't want to buy this, ditch your metal watch and just wear bracelets. Metal chain link watches are not a good style with tanks. 4. Shorts if you don't have any. The length of the shorts should be just above the knees (see my pics) If you buy shorts, buy plain black or dark navy, not lighter colour. I am recommending this because of your thick quads, the darker colour will slim down them a bit and make you more balanced. Legs is one area where you DON'T want people's attention to go to for men. 5. I never touched on footwear but you need some sort of low cut shoes like the driving moccasins I have on if you wear shorts. If you wear jeans with tanks, boots are fine. If you wear shorts, shoes WILL MAKE OR BREAK the entire outfit. You will need to look into boat shoes or driving moccasins to go with shorts. Also, shave your head. I am not recommending those chockers, I think you're more of a necklace guy. You are trying to emulate what I have above with tanks. Don't wear dress shirts that cover your arms, those are for skinny guys with no physique. You actually have the most important piece of the puzzle already for summer fashion, that is a kick ass physique. Summer time is when those of us who actually lift REALLY excel. Most fashion peeps hate warmer months because they can't hide their skinny ass bodies in clothes anymore or layer... Since you have the physique and nice arms, this is your BEST look for most sex appeal. If you didn't, we would be going a different route (i.e. the first look I have with dress shirt or short sleeve v necks) For now, don't worry about leather jackets or those scoop neck tees I talked about, get your summer style right first. Those are for cooler months when you start to layer, worry about those when time comes. Post what you are about to buy here so I can check it out too and see if it suits you. After you get those, your summer style is maxed out and done ![]() |

Hey Deadbeat,
Looks like the sea calls me this week so I'll be missing a sizeable chunk of the summer sadly. I read through your post a few times and while I was super busy this past week, I made time to float around the mall stores. I still have to admit it is going to take a while for this whole style thing to sink in. But I think I understand the key principles- clothes should fit right and be a combination of dark. I felt very apprehensive about buying anything in case I fuck up - so I guess the way forward here is to take pictures like I used to do and report back. And yeah, buying online once I've gotten the green-light from you and the other fashion savvy guys sounds like a good idea. The leather jacket especially I will need to try on and get your feedback as it will be a tall investment. Allsaints has some nice shit. After watching the videos of that Ollie guy, I can definitely tell Topman is shite. I will read your thread on suits in detail as I can see a lot of potential for fucking up there. I live in Central Europe at the moment so I'm not sure which of those brands/shops I will be able to find - also style preferences probably are quite different to the USA -a few people have told me this. Are you sure about the shaven head? I mean I have the feeling it is gonna be almost inevitable I will have to do this as my receding hairline has reached the point of no return and it just shreaks of genetic weakness. This is the closest I've been to bald - some of the pics look ok - especially with the fake tan but my ears stick out awfully and my round face is prominent. s932.photobucket.com/user/IdanXXX/library/3114/baldie Height is going to take a while to sort. I get 2.5" from my Kurt geiger boots (which don't last long at all!) - ideally I want to reach as near 6' as possible (I am 5'7.5 flatfeet). I agree about the shirt and yeah I can sense what you mean - it just doesn't look or feel right. Because I ran out of clean clothes in my wardrobe for the week and had not yet decided on new clothes based on what you recommend (it will be a while yet by the look of it!) I wore these style disasters! I actually got a couple of facebooks for each 10 approaches I made with each style below - even the pink one! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But yeah jokes aside, I will dig deeper. I think from now on I will post weekly the outfits I wore each day along with the results of my approaches - it might be a good way to see the results and improve. Age 32 Cheeks clapped: 65+

Yea it's definitely going to take some time to get your style sorted. The only way it will happen overnight is if you hire a stylist and a large wallet.
Hair is definitely a tricky area for you. I think you look pretty good with the cap on as it sort of makes your face less round. I personally think you look better bald just from what I've seen. I've personally gone through 4 different hairstyles before finding the best one. I'd maybe post some pictures here www.menshairforum.com/talk/ and ask for some of their suggestions as well. Assessing on what you have worn in your wardrobe at the moment I'd say your biggest focus needs to be on outerwear and layering pieces underneath (t shirts/dress shirts/sweaters). Your footwear and jeans are good already good. What you need in order: 1-2x outerwear (leather jacket, denim jacket, or blazer) that accentuate your shoulders 3-5 fitted t shirts for layering (non graphic solid colours) dress shirts with STRAIGHT collars (notice how your's are all kind of floppy) With those pieces and the jeans and shoes you have together, you can make killer outfits. I mean you're really not that far off, just your jackets/t shirts needs some work. Your current accessories (dog tag) will also work better with those looks. |

I think you look best with the caps on, makes you look really cool in a douchey/sporty kind of way. I also agree that you shouldn't wear dog tags or any necklace with a button up shirt and that you look better bald.
I'd just buy some well fitting, single colored t shirts (black grey white navy maroon) and wear that with jeans and you're set. No need to complicate things. The last picture you have up with the hat and leather jacket and button up with the collar out is definitely bad though. On the other hand, I like the one where you're wearing the hat and navy blue button up. Your tank top pics are definitely a lot better than the first pics you posted; keep that style going for summer...shows off how jacked you are! Finally, really consider shaving the head. The pics with hat + tank top are good but without the hat, it's still not a good look with your hairline. Cheers dude, I think you're making really solid progress. Just keep listening to what deadbeat says! |

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
