It is as advertised, "freedom from contacts and glasses".
It has been a relief to not carry around prescription glasses AND prescription sunglasses.
It did have some negatives. I'd describe the day of as being the worst day of my life. Pain and discomfort afterwards as well as the fear that the nausea was going to turn to actual vomiting. Which would be a lot of pressure on my already tortured eyeballs. I made it through however.
The cost was around 25 hundred.
I'd strongly suggest this for the guys coming to GLL looking to improve themselves. It has given me a lot of confidence even 4 days post surgery.
These places do have payment plans as well. Don't let cost scare you away.
Nice one man!
I've been considering this for a long time but so far have been too scared. And this is a guy qho got a head tattoo and plastic surgery on his ears for the GLL cause. My worry is things going wrong and going blind and reading questionable anecdotes about lasik. I realise those are the minority of cases however and every time I read a success story I feel a bit more encouraged to reconsider getting it done.
Lasik is quick and simple, takes about 5-10 minutes total on the table. Recovery is pretty quick too. You can see immediately after, and are decently recovered in just a week. PRK recovery can be nearly a month.
I had lasik about 7 years ago for $2000 even. I shopped around and negotiated pretty hard. The procedure is scary as fuck. I describe it as an alien abduction. Lying down on a table, told to stare at this blinking light. They pry open your eyes like Clockwork Orange , then slice open your eye and fold the cornea back, so things appear like you have vaseline on your eyes. And then it's over.
I even had a scary fucking moment where the eye slicer failed on my 2nd eye, so I could tell it didn't work like the 1st eye. But the fucking docs wouldn't tell me what's going on..."just hold on". They had to redo the slice on my 2nd eye...Check out the bruise it left me.

Anyways, I'm still near 20/20 vision, only slight deterioration after 7 years. No glasses are great for an active lifestyle and a looks upgrade IMO. Only downside I have are somewhat chronic dry eyes, a results of nerve that get severed on the cornea. I always have eye drops in my pocket, but I feel it's a fair trade off. And I think I've saved considerable money between prescription glasses, sunglasses, and contacts for sports.
Dalton, simply put, I had no idea what PRK was before I Googled after you asked. It was never presented to me either during my consultation.
Bastard, don't be afraid of that shit. These places would not be allowed to operate if there was any form of danger to a patient. I've read what you've done to yourself in the past and have to give props to you. Make this your next venture.
Clockwork Orange, HAH! No shit. Cool read Win Big, brings back memories of a few days ago and gives me hope for the long-term results.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
