my brothers also have pretty wide hips but I think I have it the worst. I also played soccer for about 10 years. I'm gonna stick with doing squats for the benefit you mentioned as well because I do have some fat on my legs and when I cut it'll look whack without more muscle
since you asked: http://i.imgur.com/SG8bvEP.jpg?1 to put it in perspective, I'm 6'3" and 215lb. I measured my shoulder width yesterday and they were at least ~20 inches it's absolutely not fat that's the problem, it's my pelvic bone

dude you just need to hit the weights harder EVERYWHERE. Build up your back, chest, arms etc. Those will stand out much more and your hips wont be a big deal.

You don't need to go on gear. Do basic compound lifts like bench press, deadlifts, squats, military press, pull ups etc. Lift HEAVY, but safe of course. Theres a lot more qualified people here who can help you in the training department. Your body has a lot of potential to grow and change. Just stay focused.

Dude to be honest it's not your hips, its your WHOLE body. Shoulders, chest, arms, quads. Start off doing squats, pull ups and bench press, soldier press. Hit the gym HARD make sure you're sore as fuck the next day or it wont count.

Yeah bro you're right, I just started lifting seriously 2-3 weeks ago. I've started off doing this: But i've realized that deadlifts suck ass and I refuse to do them, and barbell rows suck ass too. I like chinups a LOT better. But if I remove deadlifts and rows I feel like I've completely fucked up this program. Plus I've been going every day instead of 3x a week so I feel like I'm fucking that part up too. Any suggestions? |
