Hey guys, my name's Matty, and I'm a good looking loser. Or at least I'm a better looking loser than I used to.
I started checking out Chris's stuff about two years ago. I grew up as a fat, shy teenager, and it's only been in the last 5 years or so that I've had a dating life (I'm 30 now). Starting about 7 years ago, I lost quite a bit of weight (I was 5'6 and 200 pounds at my heaviest). I actually come at this from a different angle than most of the people here. My goal isn't and never has been to get laid as much as possible (although I certainly don't look down anyone who does). I'm more of a relationship kinda guy (or at least meeting girls that I want to spend time with). That's just me personally. When I was younger, I got suckered into the whole PUA thing. Fortunately, when I was 25, I found some bloggers who actually knew what they were talking about, so I was able to ditch the whole PUA shit and come at it from a much healthier and more practical (and effective) place. The big area GLL has helped me with is the whole looks thing. While a lot of the sources I was reading did say that looks were important, Chris was really the first guy to make me realize just HOW important they are. Starting last year, I really got serious about my diet and decided to go from being in pretty good shape to working towards getting really lean. I went from 170 pounds in early 2015 to currently being 148 pounds . I was always decently dressed, but during this time I also really started developing my style. Surprise, surprise. My dating life went from OK to awesome. I've even had girls approach me just by virtue of the fact that I looked good. I'm currently in the process of trying to get down to 8 percent body fat (I'm about 12 percent at the moment), so I'll be posting on the gym section of this forum and keeping a log. I'd also be happy to help out and give advice to any of the guys that are struggling with being overweight, as well as with their style. Cheers! for whatever reason- i've never met anyone named Matt that wasn't kool as fuck Matt you won't believe how much a difference there is between 12 and 8 perfect body fat it will be totally worth your efforts ![]() also i am sure that your expeirence from going from "overweight" to "fit" will be valuable to many members on here. the more you give on here... the more involved you'll be. the more involved you are, the more likely you'll actually stick to all of your goals within your logs. welcome to the community Matt future hall-of-famer
