I'm Holden, just turned 20 (last month) and ready for 2015. I'm in my second year of uni right now, pursuing a bachelor in philosophy as well as theology, mainly because I find them interesting, they're not too hard, and it gives me an excuse to live on my own and do my own things, which are partying and going to the gym. Also no debt because I'm in Europe.
I'm here first and foremost to be accountable. My biggest problem by far is that I simply can't eat enough. I used to blame it on "fast metabolism" until I started tracking my calories and I'm eating only 2000cals a day... I've always been very skinny, all my life. I'm very lean so when the shirt comes off I get compliments, but I'm still a skinny guy and I've been slacking a little in the gym so I need to get back in there ASAP.. and EAT. I used to breakdance in my teens which gave me some muscle and required me to be lenient, but other then that I spent my days playing videogames.
Any questions, just ask! I've been lurking the GLL site and this forum for a long time and finally decided to start posting.
studying in Europe is great, sometimes you can even have the state pay you or you get a scholarship, so i congratulate you on this wise life decision although the subjects you chose won't help you pursue any career later on. you might switch to languages, media or something remotely applicable to economics or engineering later on if you want to study some more years / get a master's degree.
What's your height and how much do you weigh? 2000 kcal isn't that much, even if you're short and skinny. Try counting calories with an app and keep an eye on your macros.
You should be hitting your protein intake goal every day and apart from that, eat lots of carbohydrates. it's the hardest to eat but it builds muscle and helps you getting used to eating larger and larger quantities of food.
If you didn't hit your daily goal of calories, and you just can't swallow anymore carbs without vomiting (i know that feel, bro) start adding fats like olive oil to everything you eat.
Thanks for the reply man. Yeah I know my majors are basically useless. I plan on being self-employed eventually anyway.. But I'm not too worried about my career/money right now. Getting bigger is my #1 priority. I'm 179cm (5'11") and weigh 62kg (136 pounds) with about 10% bodyfat. I just need to eat more, lately I've started drinking a litre of fatty milk per day which helps a lot.
The hardest part is definitely eating clean and meeting a 3000 calorie goal. I just need the discipline.
If you have trouble eating enough try eating fatty things like cheese. Also, if you want the hardcore, but simplest way possible to get enough calories: Buy some healthy oil, like linseed oil and drink a shot of it in the morning. It's disgusting, but it's better than coffee in terms of getting rid of sleepiness (Because it's so damn disgusting). One shot is about 700-900kcal. Would boost your 2000 to 2900 and you don't have to change a lot.
Regarding video games: I don't get why they are seen as the devil. Video games can be fun and great to relax from time to time, so as long as yyou don't get hooked on them for hours everything is fine.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
