I'm from Boston.

22 years old.

My goals are to quit watching porn, complete the AA program and get an attractive, high quality girlfriend.

If I could only accomplish one thing in the next 12 months it would be completing the AA program.

I've been reading pickup/self-improvement stuff since high school, but never acted on any of it. I would always avoid taking action by intellectualizing / endlessly strategizing.

Main blockages:
(1.) I'm very afraid of rejection, so I often avoid talking to girls and when I'm attracted to them I'm afraid to express sexual interest.
(2.) A lot of my energy and drive gets sapped by watching porn.

I've had sex (once) and in throughout college I've had several chances with girls (some of whom were pretty attractive), but I would always blow my chances by being too timid or not realizing the girl was attracted to me until it was too late.

I heard about the site from a friend.

that is a good friend that you have

seriously --- i'd talk to that friend, and see if they'd like to go on this journey with you
i don't think i really need to do the AA program, but if I did- i'd probably like to do it with a friend

not to mention. it is just good to have a like-minded friend in the first place..
to bounce thoughts and aspirations off of


lots of guys on here sweat that cutting out a porn addiction changed their life
perhaps it will do the same for you
i'd suggest starting a log --- it will help you to remain disciplined

Good luck with your goals,

I quit watching porn last summer but since then I relapsed and have to quit again this year..

And about the girlfriend: if you just want a hot girl to call your girlfriend then okay, but if you want something real and genuine then don't worry about finding a girlfriend, just meet lots of girls and if you like one then great!

So just sex once, how did you have several chances with these girls? did they throw themselves at you or they made obvious signals? just wondering since this is an indicator of your attractiveness
