My hair are getting worse I was able to keep them with only minoxidil but now I need something stronger, since minoxidil alone is not working anymore. I was thinking about finasteride but I would be scared about sides effects.
In the last years are available topical gel finasteride where seems they work even better than caps + with less side effects than tablets.
Have you heard about Hasson & Wong 2,5% gel finasteride? on the web the are report with amazing results. Seems it go directly in the hai follicles with a very low body absorbtion. I have also heard can be used just 3 times per week.
Chris what do you think?
I have a very high natural testosterone level, my highest results was 1053 ng/dl.... I believe this it may be bad for my hair but also I should be able to tolerate more finasteride by having an high T. But I have heard a lot of bad stories on the web regarding finasteride and sides effects.
I did two months of homemade minox topical and weekly needling with no real results compared to minox i've been doing. Switched to oral 1mg tabs daily and had some surprising temple gains after a month without any side effects.
Topical is something to try, but in reality it's probably just alot less absorption. Doing it again I would just start doing half a pill for 2 months then full 1mg after having no side effects
Overboard95 wrote: @woodisgood You mean oral minoxidil? I am very interested in this myself. Did you need to get a prescription from a dermatologist?
No oral minox. When I say minox topical I mean a finasteride/minox mixed like most people do for topical.
Oral 1mg is finasteride. Told my doctor i wanted to stop hairloss with Fin and got it directly from pharm. I would skip topical and try 1mg every other day for a month if you're scared of sides like I was.
Topical seems like a bro science scenic route that just reduces absorption since it really needs to be metabolized in the liver anyway

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
