I've seen very little about it damaging people's hearts, except a few scare stories. Yet a ton of people report using it with very little to no side effects. Similar stuff I've seen when people are talking about supposed finasteride issues and how it's the end of the world. Obviously fin has been thoroughly tested though. I'll definitely start small and see how my hair responds to it and use gloves.
Do you have any links on RU being dangerous? Thanks! |

Derek was saying the issue with finasteride and other anti dht drugs, is that it causes a surge in testosterone throughout the body/scalp... which still eats away at follicles.

And that's the thing no studies so only dangers are self reported so naturally skepticism should be given for the self reports. I wish the study on ru affecting animals moved to human trials.
But ru is an anti androgen so we can see the affect of anti androgens when they get systemic and figure things out from there. There are people who use it and get no sides and people who take it and do. I could look up some articles and people's sides on it. But i do notice people who have less sides are usually on a test base. I remember the test in the hairline thing i think it depends person to person, some people I'm sure could use only fin and be fine or the keto shampoo. At the end of the day ru is the dark horse of balding treatments and we don't always know what's going to happen or the effect we mostly have user information. And i over think sides on everything so I'm looking at this from a worst case scenario when there's a decent chance you could use it and get zero sides and get hairline back or maintain your current hairline. But do tell us results and everything I'm interested to know the effect. What nor wood are you at? Till the end of 2020

I see where you're coming from, makes sense. I'd say norwood 2.5 but I have diffuse thinning. I've had 0 sides on finasteride/minoxidil. Finasteride doesn't seem to be enough for me personally, which is why I'm upping the game. I have LLLT but I think it's probably bullshit and will be returning it soon, tried for around 8+ months. Nizoral seems too harsh for my hair and not really sure if it was helping or not.
I think I'm going to start with .25 ml on my hairline for a bit and see how I react. If it goes systemic, I will have to stop taking it. But I don't anticipate this. If it doesn't i'll go up to .50 ml, baby steps. Might also take lose dose MK 677 for a bit, 5-10mg, after my RU experiment is complete.

Just got RU. Applied 1ml/50mg to my "test subject" last night. No noticeable side effects yet. Will keep you posted further down the road. MK677 also gets here this week.

It appears ru may work for you. Congratz. I've heard it's cheaper to buy dry powder and mix it your self. But you'll find out as you go along. Ru is effective if it works for you. Your chess fight with balding may be over for now. Hopefully no sides in the next 2 months you should get some re growth.
Till the end of 2020

We'll see man. Gonna give RU at least 4-5 months. I'm not super hopeful, as other things have not worked that well in the past. But we'll find out. Hoping MK can help with density. If RU works I'll stop buying pre-mixed and make it for as cheap as possible. Issue with it is, I need full scalp coverage. Not only is that expensive, but anything more than 100mg/2ml a day sounds risky to me, side effects wise. I need about 4ml minoxidil for full coverage. |

Could dilute it do 50 mgs per 2 ml. See how the 50 mgs works and if its enough just dilute it. Some use k and b solution I've heard minoxidil used not sure about interaction. Chemyo sells dry powder and carrier formula but about all i know. I'm gonna try topical s23 later in the year and i heard s4 so will report back

Got my pre-mixed from Anageninc. Great customer support and Derek recommended them. Heard Chemyo is good too. I bought mine in propylene glycol, believe it's cheaper and doesn't hurt my scalp. Yeah, I'll see how pre-mixed works and then if so, mess around with powder and possibly diluting it. Good idea. Never heard of s23 or s4, will look into it.
*** Actually found it's way easier just to mix the RU into Minox. What I do, is heat up a few capfuls of Minox foam with a blow dryer on low until it turns into liquid, then take 1ml/50mg of RU and mix well into capful. Ends up being around 5ml or so. Next purchase will be powder RU, which should work just as well. |

Tried 10g RU a year back. I followed a DC MPMD blog and spent about $100 on a little bag of it. Started off slowly and used for about 3-4 months. I didn't notice a big enough difference to justify the price plus I was just sketched out by the lack of long term studies on it.
Started topical fin this month mixed 30mg in a bottle of lipogaine. Will let you guys know how it goes. I know side effects are rare, but it's not worth the risk imo. Stumbled on this dude richie's youtube where he started the minox/fin and got serious gains in only a few months. He did start cold turkey (wasn't on minox) so some of the gains could have been just from minox, but he got solid growth at the temples (which is harder than crown), fast with no side effects. If you're serious watch the videos month by month 1-8 to get the real big picture PM ME if I don't catch your @Wood thread

But if he's not lowering DHT in his system hair loss is still happening right? If this the case i think topicals can be dangerous because they give the illusional you stopped hair loss. I'm taking 1 mg finastride a day right now

Fin lowers DHT systemically. Minox mainly resets phase and boosts growth after 6 months, but you have to commit to it longterm. Topical fin has less absorption and not as heavily studied. I took Fin topically for 2 months and didn't notice much. Switched to oral 1mg every other day for a month now. No difference yet. MPMD has hours of in depth FIN/MINOX talk PM ME if I don't catch your @Wood thread

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
