Will your hair recover from shedding induced from discontinuing Minoxidil treatment (acute telogen effluvium) is a very common concern.

Very few seem to have the answer to this question for some reason. I researched it quite a bit and also experienced it personally so I felt an article was in order to help out others who are concerned about this particular scenario.

I even shed like hell when I tried to switch from Lipogaine to Kirkland minox. Happened twice (first to foam, second to liquid). My scalp likes lipogaine, but my wallet doesn't

thanx for the video man finally someone talked about the post minox shed sadly i am going throw it now i used the oily rogaine cuz the foam isn't available in my country and it will cost me double its price if I order it online cuz of the shipping I stopped it cuz it killed my scalp with dandruff and itch and my hair started to look dead and oily so i thought i was doing more damage than good and the funny thing is that minox worked for me after six months of using it i saw regrowth in my hair line and not that peach fuzz but thick strads of hair but I couldn't bare the oily hair and the itch aby longer so I quite i shaved my head lol and now shedding like a dog :(
so what can i do should I jump on fin or order the foam and let my wallet cries lol or do nothing and wait it to stop i stoped using it in last jun i noticed the shedding in late July btw i am noewood 2.5 with a diffused crown that started to look thin after stopping the minox

The foam isn't necessary for it to work properly, I simply prefer it because the liquid makes my hair look disgusting and greasy.

It's up to you brother, you will have to decide what is best for you at this time. I'm simply trying to give insight on my experience and what you can expect if you stop it.

Amazing video

I'm currently on rogaine foam ed + regenepure shampoo ed +dermaroller 1.5in once/month

Have a few questions:

1. Is combining rogaine foam with RU a stupid idea? or is it better to stick to one?

2. Does RU make ur hair look greasy and nasty?

3. Should you use Keto shampoo everyday or every other day? Aka does shampooing everyday damage ur hair?

1. Right now the only thing protecting you from DHT is the shampoo you're using. It's good, but RU58841 is needed if you want to really crush the DHT topically on your scalp and minimize the chance of Androgenic Alopecia. Rogaine and RU work via 2 completely different mechanisms so it would be advised to use both if maximum hair loss prevention was your goal.

2. Minoxidil will make your hair look WAY more greasy than RU58841 will. RU dries almost instantly.

3. Only use the keto shampoo EOD at most. Never do it ED.

so from what ur saying that its best for me 2 get back on rogaine and still better thane doing nothing but i want to ask u dose the foam cause dandruff like the oil because the oil gave me a nasty dandruff?

Minoxidil dependent hair (hair grown with Minoxidil) will always only stay on your head if you continue Minoxidil, but normal hair will come back after the life cycle of the hair completes itself, even if Minoxidil caused it to temporarily shed.

The only hairs dependent on Minoxidil are hairs you wouldn't have had unless you were using the Minoxidil.

I have not experienced it personally, but other persons in my circle who discontinued using minoxidil were seeing hair loss after that.
