You can have an amazing physique without taking test. Might take longer and your potential might be much lower but god knows if youll still be lifting in 5 years from now. What if you take all that test, lose your hair and stop training down the track...
Again its all about your priorities and trade offs.
NickyDee wrote: That would suck. The only thing worse than being out of shape would be being bald and out of shape. I've shaved my head completely once, and i'd see snickers from my female class mates indicating it was a bad idea. Never shaved it since. Testosterone makes me feel fucking awesome and actually removed my social anxiety which was surprising. It gave me this sense that I could take on the world, and id look people directly in the eyes without flinching. Even the way I walked was different, it was like I had a purpose. Being a few day off it is making me really sluggish and the depressive episodes are back
But fuck it, I don't want to look 30 at 19, I already get mistaken for a 25 year old with my full head of hair
That was why it didn't go well. Shaved heads are hard to make look good on a younger guy. You probably didn't have the more masculine facial features or jawline at that time. That takes a while to develop. Most men in their 30's look their most masculine.
I began receding bad around 27. I was actually looking at pics the other day of me when I was like 28 and hair was just not a good look on me. I floated it till I was about 30 and off it came. Never looked back since.
Was I mega nervous at first? Hell yeah. I pulled some HOT chicks in my 20's. At first I was like "Well I guess my golden days are over." Nope. Kept going strong. My ex was actually the one who got me to shave it. She said she loved the bald look. My GF now is by far the hottest woman I've ever dated (not to mention a great person) and she met me when I was bald.
I'm going to drop some facts on you:
1) You're not going to look appealing to ALL women no matter what you do. So just worry about the look that suites you.
2) Some like masculine bald men. Some like more polished boyish looking guys with crazy hair. FACT: They will be inconsistent with that and you'll get ones that cross the category.
3) There are hot women who like your type (whatever that may be)...trust me.
4) There is not a more "powerful" look IMO than bald AND beard (neatly kept)
5) Bald and skinny rarely works. So if you're going bald...start hitting the gym.
And lastly, most important of all:
6) Bald or jacked? Only ONE of those do you have a say (right now) in the matter. At this point in medical technology, you can delay it but you're going to lose your hair eventually if you have a predisposition to it. Having said that: Keep yourself in shape no matter what. That's the only one you CAN control.
Being completely honest with you guys...if there was a way to get my hair back right now...don't know that I would. I can't even imagine myself not bald anymore.
Thanks for sharing that, man, it resonates with me. I'm 26 and my receding hairline starts to be apparent. I booked and cancelled a hair transplant in 2015 and have had mixed feelings about fighting this fight (hairloss), over the years.
Flushing tens of thousands of dollars down the drain to have decent hair for an extra 5 years doesn't seem like a smart decision, and that is IF you only have one procedure done. I've been in this game for several years now and what I'm starting to realize is being above-average is more than enough to score numerous hotties. Shooting for "perfection" is what we all tend to do in our twenties because this ideal seems within our reach, but perfection is as unrealistic as inefficient, if only for time management purposes. Almost any guy can be an 8 without hair, and I would much rather be an 8 who parties and travels and scores hot chicks with my time and money, than a broke 9 who spends hours a day worrying about whether I should plan my next hair procedure or opt for a generic brand of Finasteride cause it's cheaper.
Edit: Maybe more importantly, I realized I wear a cap or beanie 90% of the time, so hair isn't even a factor until the girl is back at my place after a few gin and tonic...
That's an interesting discussion with no right answer though.
I think you hit the nail on the head. Do you want to worry about something constantly or live your life to the fullest and happy? In lifethere are things you can't control; in fact, quite a lot of things. However, as you get older, you realize you can't worry about every single one of those things. If you're constantly worried about your image to others as it pertains to your hair, it's going to affect your confidence.
It's important to OWN whatever look it is you have. For example: If I'm walking up to some 9/10 girl at a social venue of some sort, the LAST thing I'm thinking is "God I hope she likes bald guys." On the contrary, what I am thinking is:
I'm charismatic, intelligent, confident, well spoken. That combined with my stature and image (including my bald head/beard) exudes a sense of power.
The bald head look with a beanie is spot on btw. To me it's like bread and butter. It just works. Not because you're trying to hide your hairloss but because it just looks right.
Just be aware of how your worries somehow almost subconsciously affect how you carry yourself. You can't walk up to a 9/10 exuding a sense of power if you're worried how you look.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
