Here's the doctor I suggest that you see (do your own research to confirm my suggestion/research others)
Dr. Steven Gabel
Call up or send your pictures and he'll call you.
btw- I don't get any money if you mention my name or not. That's unethical per US medical standards. I'm just mentioning it because they will take EVEN BETTER care of you.
You will have to make the trip to Hillsboro (Portland, OR.) but he is relatively inexpensive and they will give you a travel discount.
Just spend a week in Portland and visit some stuff.
Go ahead and tell him that you referred by me Chris Deoudes (Dee-o-dis) and they'll take care of you.
Please no Private Messages. Post thread on with the word "Chris" or "GLL" in it if you absolutely need to get my input. Thank you for your understanding.

hopefully mark brings in the hammer before someone gets aids/virus or w/e
Hahaha it looks like he is trying to get some back links for his site. I can't believe people think this complete spam approach actually works. They have to visit forums with complete inactivity for the link to actually stick.
I found Dr. Gabel from reading this article and decided to do a Skype consultation with him. I was looking for somebody new since I hadn’t been pleased with my previous two hair transplant surgeries. 14 years ago I got a transplant from a place called Medical Hair Restoration and the second one in ‘09 by a very popular surgeon in the industry, who I’d rather not name.
Dr. Gabel spent over an hour on Skype with me answering all my questions, with no pressure that he was in a rush to get off the call with me, or that I even needed to use him as my surgeon. He knew that I had 2 previous surgeries and that this was a big deal for me. He also knew I had specific needs and concerns on how I wanted the hair grafts transplanted. Plus, I live in NY and he is in Portland so he understood it would be a big investment for me to travel and lodge away from home for several days to come see him. He even mentioned to me that he could recommend me to somebody closer that does really good transplants, but after taking with him for an hour I knew he was the guy! He was friendly, cool, up front, honest and candid with me.
The day of surgery, I first got to his office at 6:30am. I went over some things with one of his staff members, and instantly felt comfortable in the environment - It was a relief. Shortly afterward, Dr. Gabel came into the office, spending more time going over the game plan, reassuring me that all my needs would be met, concerns addressed, and re-affirming that the main goal was to make sure I was 100% happy and comfortable with everything. This was a priceless feeling! And to top it all off he had a smile and upbeat attitude the entire time, haha!! Now that’s a man who is passionate about his craft!
In my previous procedure, the surgeon didn't put any grafts in himself and solely relied on his staff to do the placement. Not Dr. Gabel! He was involved and hands-on from start to finish. I was his only patient and he placed the majority of my grafts, giving me his undivided attention.
He and his staff stayed extra late (past 7pm) making sure everything was PERFECT. In fact, he went the extra mile for me the entire time I was there. After surgery he personally offered me ride back to my hotel, stopping so I can grab dinner. He even suggested that we stop at the grocery store so I could stock up on food for the hotel!
On the Saturday following my surgery I met with his staff for a follow-up & clean-up, and then again on Sunday before I went home. They are super thorough! After Sunday’s follow up Dr. Gabel drove me all the way to the airport, helping to limit my transportation expenses. I can honestly say that he's a cool and genuine person; someone you can relate to, and with.
And I can't say enough about his staff!! His staff is super experienced, collectively having over 3 decades experience in the hair transplant industry. They made me feel extremely comfortable the entire time and took superb care of me. They were consummately professional, but also really cool and down to earth. They put me at ease and made me comfortable with music and conversation throughout the entire surgery. I can actually say I had fun getting the transplant done!
My short term results so far look incredible. I look like I got double the amount of grafts I did versus the past two surgeries combined. This truly makes me question the integrity of some of the other surgeons out there. These results far exceeded my expectations!

Hey, lurker here who just had an in-person consultation with Dr. Gabel last saturday. First, I'm very impressed he'd fly down from Portland just to see me and a couple guys for a free consultation. It was very convenient for me and was only about a fifteen minute drive from my place. Anyway my first impression was that he was a very energetic down to earth guy who I found easy to talk to. The office was comfortable, and even had a few snacks that he offered.
Anyway we head inside his office and, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'd heard good things about Dr. Gabel from Chris and others in this thread and hadn't found a single bad review anywhere on the internet so I hoped it was all true. I'd just recently cut my hair and it was looking a lot better than it had when it was longer, but I was still looking to get a lower hair line.
Well, Dr. Gabel wasn't there to run a sales pitch or pressure me into performing the surgery. He was very upfront and after inspecting my hair told me that, even though this is how he makes his living, he is going to have to deny me a procedure at this point in time. I'm only 24, about to be 25 in a few days and, the hair line I wanted was quite low. He explained that if I transplanted now, especially with an aggressive family history of balding, I may need to do more and more transplants to maintain the low hairline and hopefully have enough grafts to do so.
Over all, I'm very impressed with his honesty and just plain ethics. It's clear Dr. Gabel is not about capitalizing on dudes like me down on their appearance and making off with their money. He runs a business yes, but he is out to do good I believe. Anyway I can't say how the transplant went because I didn't have one but, if you're looking around to get a transplant, at least speak with Dr. Gabel first cause he's the real deal and will tell you straight.
If my hair loss advances further I plan on meeting him again and, he will be my surgeon of choice if a procedure ends up being required. So, big thumbs up from me for sure.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
