I'm on 50 mg of Zoloft. Curious about trying out phenibut.... but I don't know if it's okay to mix
Part of the reason I'm concerned is that lately, alcohol seems to make my depression worse. Even a single beer can, if i drink it on an empty stomach Every goddamn day. Get in there.

Well phenibut is like a benzodiazepene which are commonly prescribed along with anti-depressants. So, my guess would be that it shouldn't cause any problems. I can't say for sure though.

Great, thanks. Follow-up question: how long after eating should we wait to take phenibut? Chris' guide says to do it on an empty stomach in the morning and eat 45 mins after, but i don't have that much time before i have to leave for work.
Every goddamn day. Get in there.

I don't have any personal experience with phenibut but if he says an empty stomach then it's going to depend on how much you ate. You should be able to feel when your stomach is empty/close to empty again. With a moderate sized meal it's usually like 2-3 hours. I find that digestion for me is faster in the morning too because I haven't eaten all night.

I work in psych and have years of experience processing new admissions at an inpatient facility (lockdown unit).
The number one reason people get admitted to psychiatric hospitals is medication related. They may be violent, suicidal, confused, etc., but that behavior is related to their meds. They stopped taking their meds, they took too many meds, they took meds they weren’t prescribed, they combined meds with alcohol, etc. If you are going to be your own doctor, I strongly, STRONGLY recommend you take things very slowly with the dose and frequency. Also, get a digital scale. Trying to eyeball a dose (assuming you’re using powder and not pills) is a fool’s game with meds. Know the exact amount you’re taking and record it somewhere. I personally stopped taking phenibut due to the comedown being too costly. I experienced insomnia, depression, lack of focus, irritability, etc. Your experience(s) may differ. I’ve yapped about this in other threads, but the number one game changer for me was testosterone replacement therapy. TRT will do things for you that no medication (prescribed or street) can. TRT will assist you with beating depression, increasing focus, drive, etc. Basically, you’ll become more of yourself. Temporarily unavailable as I need to focus on other areas of my life. Only focusing on no more than two goals at once. Best of luck to you guys.

I think generally speaking Phenibut is safe. I do know that tolerance is an issue with it, and I've heard some forms of addiction (but I don't really find these reports on Addiction to be accurate or reliable). To deal with the tolerance a lot of people are turning to Fasoracetam, and I've read good things about Fasoracetam with this in mind.
The only thing I've heard bad about Phenibut first hand was someone getting tired and groggy from it, which ultimately came down to the dosing amount. I'd say Phenibut for depression would be fine, but likely isn't going to be enough and would recommend reading more on Tianeptine I've actually recently ordered some Phenibut and Fasoracetam and will be giving these two a trial by themselves and together when I finally receive my orders. |

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
