Whats up guys,
So today I decided to bite the bullet and go for the high fade haircut. I'm pleased with the results One thing that concerns me a little is the fact that I have very fair skin in general and burn easily. You can see the difference in skin color in the photo of the back of my head. Hopefully a little sun will take care of this. Another thing too is that I've been told that my nose is a bit bigger than average and that the shorter my hair is, the more noticeable my nose is. I've noticed this as well. Do you have any recommendations to overcome any of these issues? ALSO, I got some new shirts over the weekend and put one on for this post. Let me know what you guys think.....maybe NSA can chime in. |

It’s a good start. Your hair is super straight so right now it looks like you’re in the military.
Let your hair grow out on top so that you can style it. Lay Count

Awesome. The barber said he would cut it in a "universal style" so I could style it however. These pictures are from how he cut it, so I haven't messed around with it yet. Which direction should I go with the top? |

That’s up to you to decide. But with enough length, you will be able to style it so your hair doesn’t look prickly Lay Count

Ok cool. I was also wondering how I should go about maintaining the sides and the back. I'm thinking that as everything grows a bit, I could go back to the barber and have him shave down the sides and back only, as the top continues to grow. And then once the top gets long enough to where I want it cut, I could have him leave a little more length on the top (than what I had today) and continue to keep the sides and back the same as they are now. This way I won't wind up with the same thing (the military look) each time.

Yeah my face/head shape is different for sure. Not sure what I can do about that unfortunately. But I took these photos by myself and kept pulling my head up straight to try and keep my entire face in them I'll see if someone can take side pictures of my face |

"Universal Style" is a bad way to go. You wanna pick one cut and stick with it until you're ready to swap. I can understand the desire for having a universal cut, since being able to rock a bunch of hair styles for the price of one is very attractive but it's a bad idea. Every hair cut your try to mimic will look like a C rather than an A. There are some instances where it can work, for example: If you have naturally curly hair your guy can cut it so that the curls look nice with a little bit of product and letting your hair air dry THEN When you have more time in the mornings you can blow dry your curls into a full pompadour and rock a completely diff look. --- But that's not what you have going on, Only a good stylist can give you a cut fit for your face shape, although this is of SOME importance... It's not the cornerstone of a good hair cut. The cornerstone of a GOOD hair cut is picking ONE style that rocks with you while also looking cool/current. Your stylist or barber will cut everything to the length it needs to be in order to achieve ONE look. If you stick with the universal hair cut, then there will be days where you'll wish that your had shorter sides because they are getting in the way. Or wishing you had longer sides bc you wanna slick them back for a rockabilly look or something. HOW TO PICK A HAIR CUT Note the type of chicks you like. Notice their boyfriends/MCMs. Copy who they already drool over. Q&A: What if I think that type of hair cut looks goofy on me? A good stylist can tweak your version to compliment your face. Find a profession who has this ability and then go somewhere cheaper once you know how it's supposed to look. What if I just want a mass appealing hair cut that most girls will like, versus going the niche route? That's easy, pick something trendy. Even if you hate it. I've learned that it's OK to separate your identity and what you like from your own appearance. You're putting on a fuckboi costume and that's fine. You can be a fuckboi intellectual too. Lay Count: 21 [Taking Hiatus A From "The Game"]
Before GLL: Zero (Virgin) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Goals for 2019: Bench Press - 225lbs [Done] Overhead Press - 135lbs Squat - 315lbs Deadlift - 405lbs

Thanks for taking the time to write that up. After reading over this a few times, it makes a lot of sense now. I've figured out a style that I like, so I will try to keep it the same for the time being, but will let the guy know to not do the universal thing next time. I thought some more about the mimicking part you mentioned too. I was able to make a semi-mohawk this morning (just being goofy, not actually serious about having it look that way). Thinking back on that, you're spot on about the fact that it would be a C rather than an A because it wasn't cut to a mohawk form to begin with. So it would end up looking like an Imitation Mohawk rather than a real one. Right? I hope I have the right idea and am following everything you're saying. If not, let me know. Thanks. |

The hair isn't holding you back from pulling girls. I would rock it for a couple months to see if you like it. Try putting in more clays for texture as it gets longer. The fade looks clean. If you grow it out you'll have to spend more time styling it with blow dryers n shit. Do you have pics of longer hair? My hair is straight and it gets thin looking and a mess when its longer
Getting gains especially for the jawline would make more of a sure bet difference than a hairstyle change
PM ME if I don't catch your @Wood thread

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
