Day 1: 40mg
Today I started popping the accutane. I actually have an extra ~180 pills in store that my derm doesn't know about. I can use that to up the dose on my own if necessary. I'm going to be using steroids throughout my course, because I will be using steroids afterwards too so there's no point in taking a break. I don't think it'll affect the treatment much, because it's not like the steroids caused any massive breakouts in the first place. My skin has just gradually been getting worse over the years.

In fact, my face is actually pretty smooth except for whiteheads and acne in my hairline/neck. The accutane should take care of that pretty quick. The body acne will take longer.

Sounds like a good plan. Tell him how depressed the acne is making you and how it's affecting your life. Let me know how it worked. Thankfully I have student healthcare which is practically free, and I also get the meds for free B)

Here's a picture of me 2 years ago, right after my first Accutane cycle and after losing 100lbs. Since then I have gained 45lbs of mass. Haha I look like a little boy :silly: I wish to gain the same skin clarity again, but keep gaining muscle at the same time.

You think you look little a boy? , Im 10x worse than that xD.No muscle at all (Im working on it).

I thought Accutune was meant to stop Acne forever thats why its a "Last resort" for many? , I think i need to read up on it abit before i ask to get it xD

It will probably stop it forever provided that you take enough of it and for a long enough time. I think my derm has been pretty conservative with it. I should've also started this second course as soon as I started getting any pimples again. But instead I procrastinated.

If, after this course, I start getting any acne, I will immediately see my derm again. We also discussed having me on a maintenance dose of Accutane - I've read that some people take like 20mg once per week and that keeps their acne from coming back.

Are you paying each visit to your derm? , Its around £150 each time you visit a derm here and would not be able to afford that this year (Getting money for a Mac for uni - Clothes for uni and then general money saved for uni + expenses of living untill i go to uni) and then ill never be able to afford it while at uni either/

Read my second to last post. It's only like 30€ for each visit for me.

Ah right my bad , Im not sure if i can get it free.People do go to the doctors and eventually get reffered to Dermos if they have a bad condition (For free) but im not sure if mine counts as a "Bad condition"

Day 2

Obviously I'm not gonna write in this every single day. But for now I wanna tell you that so far I've had no side effects and my acne actually looks calmer. It might be placebo, but there are no active inflamed bright red/white cysts right now, and that alone makes it look much better.

I'm all in. I bought a low pH soap that I'm gonna use for washing since it doesn't mess up the pH of my skin. I'm gonna buy benzoyl peroxide and try it out. I bought a shower bag so that I can carry all this stuff to the gym so that I can shower right after my workout and change into fresh clothes. There's no way my skin won't improve.

Libido still excellent. Fingers crossed.

May be completely wrong here , But while BP is meant to be good for Acne ,Didnt GLL say BP contributed to Tumors or something crazy?

I actually went to my doctors today about the Acne i have and he gave me a BP treatment as well (If this doesent work i get reffered to a Derm) but im sure GLL said BP was dangerous , Ill try find the article and make sure i read it correctly.

Thanks. I won't waste my money on it then. In fact even when I used the low pH soap yesterday, my face immediately broke out with a couple of red pimples. That just goes to show: don't fucking put anything on your skin apart from water!! If you're used to washing with soap, stop with it for a week and watch your skin improve.

I can attest that my face has felt and looked a lot better since I've stopped using soap so frequently (black nubian, coconut, whatever). I went from using them twice a day, to about twice a week. Worked much better for me.

Btw, damn Terminator- your body acne is a thousand times worse than mine. You weren't kidding.

Hope this accutane works out for yah

Haha thanks (about the wishes, not the fact that my acne is worse :silly: ) The reason I put up the pics is that I wanna show that you can have acne and not let it bring you down. You can get laid. Take action and you will get results.

I can only imagine how good I'll feel after the acne is taken care of, and I'm excited to see if and how it will affect the results I get :)
