my dosing right now pans out to
25mg zinc 250mg mag 200mcg selenium 5000 iu vitamin d and 400iu vitamin e with breakfast containing fats then 25mg zinc and 250mg mag basically before bed. btw i can tell my 50mg of zinc gluconate isn't optimal but i'm running out and cant buy some more for a while so gotta go minimal on that. necessary probably no but there are various reasons
for example absorption potential, if you take all your zinc at once and your meal happens to have a lot of iron your absorption potential would suffer, splitting it into 2 or 3 doses makes this a much smaller problem, if say your absorption of the first dose doesn't go so well you still got at least 1 more for the day another reason is some of these have acute(instant, time dependent) benefits, for example taking zinc and magnesium at night gives the biggest sleep enhancement, my last dose of mag and zinc is taken around 30 mins before bed. lastly this sort of ties in to the absorption potential but minerals like zinc mag calcium share transporters which are effective for absorbing around 800mg at once or less, taking 50 mg zinc 500mg mag and 600mg calcium(could easily come from like 2 cups of milk) would put you well over the limit wasting your minerals. this is zma, or at least what matters ZM i guess. i have seen no evidence that b6 vitamin or what ever they put in zma will help with sleep, for zinc and magnesium there is plenty of evidence that they help, but not necessarily in a shitty dosage that you would easily find in an overpriced zma formula, what i take basically = zma man and it certainly helps sleep, i cant get myself to get to bed before 2 am these days because i'm not tired enough LOL. no i don't and i have no reason to believe a multi would be anything more than useless, i have my important minerals and my vitamin d so what could i possibly get from a multi? i suppose bright green piss is exciting but it doesn't make vitamins that you get plenty of through diet worth buying in supplement form(like a multi) to piss out. So I've been hesitating to report this because I don't think it's the vitamin e but for days now my skin has been more oily and i'm like more sweaty too, idk maybe it could be the vitamin e I guess we'll just have to wait an see.
