I'm trying to do my best to stay productive during the quarentine. I picked up some new hobbies which are music production and learning to DJ. I'm talking to girls at my local dog park trying to keep my social skills from dwindling after this ends. I'm considering taking an online course for making money online. Just a simple search I get tons of courses that pop up and can't seem to figure out whose legit or a waste of time and money. Not really looking to get rich quick. I understand it takes time and effort. Looking for a stable source of income even after all this ends so I can quit my 9 to 5.

Don't buy an online course that teaches you how to make money online before you have a plan how to make money online. If you are a newbie, you won't even be able to tell if the business model that is being taught in the course is legit and how it compares to other business models.
For example, there is no point in buying an Amazon FBA or a Dropshipping course, if you have zero knowledge of e-commerce or marketing. It's a business model that is way too complex for beginners (and it requires a lot of cash upfront) If you don't know how you will make money online, you'll also don't know which course can help you. So figure out a legit way to make money online first and then buy courses that teach you the necessary skills. Hint: every online business model consists of two things: 1) An offer - it can either be a product (physical or virtual) or a service. You can either sell your own product/service or someone else's (Affiliate Marketing). So figure out what you want to sell. 2) Traffic - basically a way to get people to see the offer you're selling (can be paid traffic, organic search traffic from Google, organic traffic from social media, or cold emailing your potential customers if you sell a high-price service). Figure out your offer and your traffic and then you'll also figure out what skills are needed. To get back to the example above: For Amazon FBA your offer is the products you will be selling on Amazon and the traffic comes from people searching for products on Amazon. You need contacts to China to source your product, extensive research that tells you the chances your product has on Amazon, legal stuff regarding customs, etc. and plenty of other things. Overall, very complex to figure out a good offer and to make sure that the traffic is there (after all, you're not the only Amazone seller in your niche fighting for traffic). And you'll need to invest at least a few thousand dollars to get your first order shipped, so it's also pretty high risk compared to other business models. I recommend you make a list of potential business models you are interested in and then break them down by traffic, offer and required startup cost. |

Instead of doing that, try what i did:
Find a community of people who have that kind of business. Often there are facebook groups for this. I found an active FB group related to the industry I was entering, and their advice (and posting about their successes and failures) were invaluable for figuring shit out in my first year of business. Thanks for everything you guys. It's time for me to move on to bigger things!
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

I imagine you're looking for something "easier", but consider learning to code. It's a real, valuable, marketable skill. You can learn it on your own and be employable in 12 months.
Both my dad and brother code. Brother has been working from home as an independent contractor for 20 years. He makes somewhere in the neighborhood of $100k USD a year (living in a low cost Midwest city). He has a lot more freedom to organize his day. Works a few hours in the morning, goes to the gym from 10am to noon. Works a few more hours, picks up his kids from school at 3pm. He may finish his last few hours from 10pm to midnight after kids are in bed. So much more flexibilty than a corporate 9-5 job. Has a vacation home in Mexico and typically takes at least 2 international vacations a year. I guarantee none of that was easy for him, but that's what hard work gets you. Not likely to find it from a 10 minute youtube video that has a magic way to make $100k with affiliate marketing! If you're dedicated you could probably start making small money in 3-6 months creating basic wordpress websites. Focus on learning: HTML, CSS, JAVA, PHP. And you can learn it all FREE: Free Code Camp |

Income School's Project 24.
I can personally vouch for it. I built a blog about music production to success using their principles. I'm making very close to $1000 per month right now in passive income. Edit: You don't even need to buy the program. Just watch all of their YouTube videos, every single one. Particularly the ones from 2016 until 2018.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
