Background: After tons of hesitation ive placed cold calls, and overcame that initial fear however its hard to maintain that momentum. I have infield store visit experience from an old job.
My service is kind of like a recruiter, usually dealing in low wage positions in the hospitality industry ( cooks, supervisors, housekeepers).
Other positions include truck drivers, any in demand job etc.
Now, I need to approach employers (motels, restaurants, etc. smaller businesses) and get the decision maker to agree to do this process with me. Its a free process for them, not only that, as a last resort, I would even offer them $$ to do the process.
If I wanted to perform my duties, do you believe cold calling or in person visits is more effective in pitching my offer? Why?
Study some of the old school marketing legends like Gary Halbert, Jay Abraham and Dan Kennedy.
Your best bet is getting your foot in the door with lumpy mail or just a plain letter, introducing yourself, explaining how you can help them and them asking them to give you a call. Wait a few days and call whoever didn't respond (most of them won't btw) Again, explain who you are and ask them if they read your letter. Get in a conversation with them and see if you can help them.
Running some lead generation campaigns would also be helpful - this way you're an invited guest, not an annoying pest as Kennedy says.
