What is your goal Casp? Make money with labor extensive copywriting, or with your website? It seems like you don't want to learn something new, and that you're falling back on writing since you're good at it. SEO/CRO are very valuable skills, with no potential limit to your earnings if you're good. Copywriting has an obvious loft, as it's very labor extensive. "Motivation is fleeting and easy to rely on because it requires no concentrated effort to get. Motivation comes to you, you don't even have to chase after it.
Discipline is reliable, motivation is fleeting. The question isn't how to keep yourself motivated, it's how to train yourself to work without it." |

I think we all know your goal is to make money for your website. So I think it really to ask yourself what is best for my ROI right now?
Is creating more content? Or getting the word out and CRO? I believe it's the latter. I think you would be good writing 2 new posts a week. Maybe writing 500 words per day is a better solution. So it does not suck up time. I wrote 115 posts in 5 months. My main website has 77 posts. There websites with less content out there are probably doing better than me. How do you figure that? Reddit and building links has done way more for driving traffic then writing a lot of content. Do not fall into the trap of perfectionism. That will only hold guys like us back and waste valuable time and resources. I think I'm writing 2 high quality posts a week from now on. Nothing more until I hone my CRO and marketing skills. Just my thoughts. Ray 2017 Goals:

You're absolutely right. I didn't mention my plan to quit my job come January first and travel the world with my friend. He has bought a bus and refurnished the inside into living quarters. I will only do copywriting IF I need money to support myself at the beginning of this trip if my blog is not making me enough money at that point in time.
I still plan to learn CRO as I go without question. This morning I wrote 2000 words in 2 hours so 1000 a day is by no means unreasonable nor will it consume all my time. The more I practice the easier that will become. I need to keep my writing skills polished or when I get the traffic I am hoping for I won't have the skill to provide future content. I also only have 39 posts currently, when I hit closer to 50 CRO will begin to be a heavy priority, right now I don't have too many money focused posts which will change very soon. To answer your question Dannn make money from my website is my priority 110%, copywriting will simply be supplementary on an as needed basis if it comes to it. However I do want to build a strong website. I hope this makes sense February Goals:

Do not forget that the posts you wrote have now set you up for a killer foundation which I do not yet have. It is a fine balance. I have only been writing 5ish posts per month on average which is not enough for my first year.

Tonight was sick, I checked my webmaster for the first time in a month and and my number of quieres improved 550% this month alone! Fucking Epic!! This is insanely motivational for me and has me foaming at the mouth to do more sales directed posts ASAP so they can start turning traffic within the next few months. I can't imagine what is possible once the sandbox period is over and I get some more backlinks and I have more content. This is totally doable!!
So much to write about, I don't know where to start. I have the fire back that was dwindling over the last week or so. February Goals:

This morning I wrote another 1500 word post which I am super happy with and reviewed mine from yesterday which is also a super good and unique article so I am feeling pretty fired up.
Currently editing a sales post for a supplement I genuinely love and will be posting it ASAP February Goals:

Great work Casp10. Keep it up dude. Just keep your energy levels in check.
I have been tired a lot lately. Hence, been writing less and marketing more. Keep killing it though brah. Ray 2017 Goals:

Ya I feel you, the last few weeks I was super tired myself.
Wrote another 1500 words today, went to work, hit the gym, spent the evening with the girlfriend. Pretty ideal day honestly everything felt balanced and smooth. Would love some more days like this. Since starting my writing plan I feel incredibly accomplished these last few days such a great feeling. February Goals:

Felt yesterday away from the blog but did a huge shopping haul and focussed on donig meal prep/going to the gym. I am going to get back into the gym hard despite having injuries. I will have to work around them. For someone who has lifted much at all in over 6 months and eats as much fast food as I do, my potential is off the charts.
On another note I've been smoking way too much weed again lately out of nowhere. Many times it helps me creatively and helps me think outside the box but this last week it is just becoming too frequent to be productive again. I need to take this entire week off of weed an establish a reward that allows me to smoke. For example everytime I write 5000 words and publish 2 posts I will allow myself to smoke. I find weed so addicting because the ramifications take time to creep up unlike alcohol. February Goals:

ForeverMirin here.
Would you recommend weed for unwinding? I just wrote a long post and what I do then is go for a walk. But, I'd like to throw some variety into this routine because it gets boring to do this again and again and again. |

Weed is incredible for unwinding and also increasing creativity. If you can stick to only smoking 1-2x week I can see it being highly beneficial.
What I have noticed as I am smoking more frequently is that the reward I get from advancing in my work is replaced by getting the same feelings of reward from smoking. Of course smoking is easier so I find myself getting less done. Find a balance and it is magic. I have had the 3 biggest epiphanies of my life all this year and all while stoned. I got the idea to start my website while stoned and the idea for my next business as well February Goals:

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
