By the way everyone, SEO and quality content does matter if you want authority.
The more your posts show up in google espcecially first page or top spots, the better.
This gets more potential people to your products and mailing list and affiliated products FOR FREE.
Just get YOAST SEO and try to get a good seo rating for every article.
I always use to post small articles, not even caring for seo, as long as the site grew, which equated to more traffic for the better articles.
Looking back on the site, im ashamed for some of the articles for how little effort i put into them.
More seo and keyword optimised quality content = more traffic.
The money is always in the mailing list, the site creates trust, authority and opportunities.
Major expansions and improvements will be coming to my site in the next few months

Hey jpkgllr, are you working on a kratom site also? I'm working on one (had it live for about a month now) and I'm adding content. I want to have it completely done by the end of this month. Then after that I'm going to start working on other affiliate sites and I'll be learning more about SEO and driving traffic through advertising.
If you're doing the same maybe we can help each other out by sharing advice, resources we come across, etc.

Sure, I'm up for any kind of info and tips sharing. As it happens I'm trying to finish up on another project that is more travel related --- Las Vegas guide that's mainly targeted at convention goers. I've already built several versions of a Las Vegas site thinking it would be easy to make some passive income because the travel market there is so huge ( over 40 million visitors a year ).
Little did I know just how hard it is get traffic and keep visitors. I've learned a lot along the way --- I started out as a more IT - Programmer / Web Developer type but over time I've gotten interested in other things.
Generally at the rule is to finish what you start first but sometimes I think it's good to take a break and work on the Kratom site.
The big problem is that there are so many web sites out there about Kratom and guys have all kinds of blogs going that are built with Wordpress themes with some customization. Some guys have interesting ideas, designs and blog posts but it's pretty challenging building up a readership with fresh ideas all the time. Chris here at GLL and a few other "red pill" types like Mike Cernovich at DangerAndPlay are role models but even they took a while to get to where they are.
That said I'm still planning to get my Kratom site going just for the fun of it and part of appeal is to keep current with tech issues and seo and feel the creative issues flowing that happens for me once I sit down at at the keyboard and start playing around with thoughts.
The biggest thing about Kratom is probably going to be getting a Youtube presence made where it is so much easier to get traffic. I check the "Alexa" number for most of the Kratom sites and blogs I see out there and by far most of them are NOWHERE when it comes to visitors, usually in some abysmally low Alexa range like 12,000,000.
It's pretty discouraging when I see a well thought out theme with entertaining, informed and unique writing and yet pretty much no one sees their web site. The good news is that Youtube is so huge that once you get some good personality driven, interesting message developed you can leverage Youtube and other social media. That wasn't the case 8 years ago when I first started out.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
