The best way to make money online is by selling stuff through affiliate marketing. If you just show ads, you need a shitload of traffic to make any real money. Also you don't need a website to make money. You need prospects and customers, preferably on an e-mail list so you can contact them whenever you want with your sales pitches. It's a balance between building trust and selling. Chris puts a ton of focus on building trust and being honest with people, and it's paid off. He's had a unique life experience, though, that is interesting to a lot of people so that's why it works. The much faster way to make money is to pay for advertising to get people to opt in to your e-mail list, then send them an e-mail every couple of days until they "buy or die". Here's an example: Your ad: Watch this midget pick up a supermodel with 1 silly trick! Landing page: Enter your e-mail to see the video (show the video after getting e-mail) E-mail 1: Thanks for joining E-mails 2 to 99999999: Veiled sales pitches for your PUA program I know people hate this approach, but it's lucrative for many. |

Even with dumb people sending them an email trying to sell them something every time is probably a bad idea. You need to switch it up and provide them with content emails where you aren't trying to sell things to people as well. But many people swear by email marketing. They say on average someone needs to be exposed to something seven times before they will buy it. Email marketing is perfect for that.

Actually, list building and marketing to that list can be profitable. The key is, you have to provide them with not only a good deal, but authority and value. By that, I mean that you have to establish yourself as an authority in whatever it is you are marketing to them (not necessarily a specific product, but a topic or category that multiple products that fall into that category). You also need to provide them with actionable information that they consider to be valuable. Then they will buy from you and continue to buy from you (as long as you are reasonable good at copywriting/headlines and writing the actual reviews).
I started building my email list for my current site on July 11th. Right now I am at about 1,800 subscribers. When I send out an email for the "deal" or product I am offering, I get about a 38% - 46% open rate on those emails. And generally speaking, each email campaign results in about $20K in sales minimum. Blogs are generally used to: #1. Help establish yourself as an authority on said given topic/subject. #2. Provide a means (along with email) to communicate valuable info (which helps with #1 above). #3. Gather email address for your list. #4. Rank in the search engines to drive traffic to your site (to help with #1, #2 and #3 above). |

I made it sound spammier than it really is. You shouldn't just hard sell every e-mail. It's best to provide some content and soft sell, but I do think it is good to make sure you remind your list of your product every single e-mail because you never know when they are ready to buy. My unsubscribe rate is about 5% (every day 5% unsubscribe, but I get way more new leads so my list is constantly growing). Also, it is passive. You don't write new e-mails all the time. You set up an auto-responder so when someone joins they get email 1, then a few days later email 2, etc. On the lead acquisition side you just need 1 "squeeze" page that works and a big enough traffic source to generate new, fresh leads. |

Wow, $20K per e-mail to just 1800 people? What are you selling or did I read this wrong? |

It's just a different approach. It doesn't mean you have to sell crappy products. If I wanted to sell kratom, I could use this approach. |

How do you get traffic to your opt-in landing page? Are you using paid trraffic, SEO, etc.? and do you just put your affiliate link right in the emails? Or do you use your own squeeze page to "warm up" the customer to the product before giving them your affiliate link? thanks. BTW meijin sells watches. |

No, you read that correctly. I sell watches. I was going to post up my site (which is really just a single deal page for right now). I got Chris' permission to do so, but didn't know if people would find it all that interesting or if there were enough people would really be that interested to check it out and discuss it. |

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
