Oyden_03 wrote: I agree completely. Part of me wants to start by developing a site/blog that generates good content and brings in traffic, before spending money on the actual business like insurance, supplies, employees, etc. To wait until there's an interest in using my services before spending money and chasing after them for business would be smarter in my opinion, especially when some agencies are reporting up to 50% of their business coming directly thru online traffic inquiries.
SEO and generating leads is something I'm still learning about but am very interested in. There's about a handful of agencies near my area east of LA towards orange county (Whittier/La Habra/Fullerton) if you wanna snoop around and see what the competition's like. Everyone basically offers the same service for around the same price ($18-25/hr depending on what you need), with each agency having their own little gimmicks. My goal would be to focus on one of the smaller cities like La Habra or even Whittier before moving south towards orange county, where the amount of retirees and agencies jumps significantly. I'm a small fish, so I wanna start in a small pond haha. I've also read about designing your keyword phrases to turn away people looking for jobs with home care vs. those actually looking for services, which apparently happens A LOT. I haven't set a deadline on when I'd like to launch this business but ideally by the end of the year would be my goal.
The internet is where it's happening brother. Could you give me some URL to these websites?
Keyword research is a major part of SEO 2014, and I could see it being important not to use phrases that implies jobs with home care. I'll take a look on the keywords.

My old man had that mistake before. Now he works from home and it's the same for small scale companies (5/less employees)
If you need an address, i know companies do this thing where you can rent their mailbox for cheap. Also using their address and stuff
Keep up the work, you're an inspiration
You're talking about a co-working space right? Yeah if you know of one let me know.

Thanks aerodynamic, baby steps, baby steps haha.
I'm also trying to figure out how much of the business I should expose on here in terms of keeping my personal information private. Given the nature of the business (elder/senior care) , I wouldn't want the family members being able to trace it back to posts about me involving Kratom or Bathmate haha. I'll have to keep it more generic I guess but will try to keep updating the business and financial side of it. If anyone has any thoughts or opinions on this I'd love to hear them.

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
I didn't think that your exercise and diet advice would have girls checking me out. It did.
I DEFINITELY didn't think that your hair-loss prevention would fix my hairline. Not in a billion years. It mother fucking did. You saved me a crazy amount of time, a ton of money, unnecessary pain, and destroyed my #1 source of anxiety. DESTROYED IT.
Kratom is next!
