Its very difficult for a Canadian citizen to become a us citizen ,maybe if you had someone to sponsor your It would be easier but the us is one of the hardest countries to immigrate

Yes this is something I looked into as well.

You need to be closely related to someone (Spouse, mother, father, etc). Or have a job offer from the list of acceptable occupations. OR invest like $500k and create X amount of jobs.

I concluded that it's best to move somewhere else relatively warm like Panama, maybe even Europe. We can always take a 6 month vacation to the US though... I plan to escape next winter by doing just that.

I'm really tired of Canada and would like a change.  Some place warm for a change, Florida, Texas or California would be ideal.


As a Canadian you are allowed to live in the US six months out of the year I believe without a visa.

Hmm that's interesting. I know some overseas banks are closing their doors to the US Dollar. Didn't know they will reject citizenship.

Honestly it's too much of a hassle. Why you gotta hog all the good weather? Get over yourselves Americans!  :P
