Hey guys, know I said I wouldn't be back on here the rest of the week, but I wanted to share with you a book called "Quit Porn In 30 Days" by Chris Haven at

. He basically walks you step by step, a day at a time to kick your porn addiction. Although I didn't go without porn and other temptations (that I thankfully resisted) - there is absolute ZERO desire to watch porn or jerk off as a result of doing this program. It's basically a 30 day program where you follow what he tells you to do everyday, and you make sure to log your results. Here's mines, directly copied from my document on my laptop:
Quit Porn in 30 Days Log Day 1: Earlier I had urges to masturbate, but remembered the long term payoffs, as well as the short and long term negative consequences of doing so. Day 2: I do keep track of what I need to do each day. Day 3: I can't afford to pamper myself right now, and my time is better spent improving myself each day. Day 4: I almost relapsed into deviant activity. I was bored, and became jealous of guys on GLL constantly having success with women. I became depressed again and felt worthless. I relapsed on pornographic images but still feel good about myself for resisting the temptation to go back to that disgusting behavior I left behind. I refuse to do that in which I know will have severe negative consequences in the future. I feel a sense of redemption, pride, and confidence in my ability to pull through. I got this! Day 5: I spend a lot of time on the internet in public spaces as is. Day 6: I don't spend money on porn. Day 7: My diet is in order now. I do definitely feel a difference eating clean from eating processed “food”. Day 8: Did not relapse – however urges come and go, so I need to stay busy. Day 9: Relapsed on porn . I've realized my triggers are more so boredom and frustration coming from my feeling of being overwhelmed by the work I have to do in my life. Stress is also a huge factor. Day 10: Stress is a huge trigger indeed. I find that keeping a schedule helps. Day 11: I don't use drugs or drink alcohol. Day 12: I already am in the act of building my self image. Day 13: The life situation I've found myself in I feel is largely in part to porn addiction. That alone is all the motivation I need to stop using. Day 14: (Breathing exercise) Day 15: I don't read erotica. However, I did jerk off without porn. Still felt empty from it. Day 16: I've been very wary of traps, I've learned that lesson the hard way – many times over. Day 17: Was definitely a little bit harder. Day 18: Of course Day 19: I wouldn't be in a good position in life were I to go back. Day 20: I will not allow myself to become relapse again. Day 21: Cool breathing exercise. I have to work to do. Day 22: I relapse from time to time but feel as if I'm making steady progress. Day 23: I have noticed how much better I feel not jerking off and watching porn as often as I once did. Day 24: 1. - 8 2. - 6 3. - 8 4. 10 5. 10 6. 10 7. Giving up on my goals (depression from not accomplishing an objective) 8. 7 Temptation still an issue, but is a work in progress. Feel much better. Day 25: I have tended to intellectualize my addiction, as well as rationalize it, but that has ceased. Day 26: I've done this constantly. Day 27: I have begun looking at my addiction as a serious problem that I have no excuse to take part of anymore. Day 28: I wish I could have back all the time I've wasted on porn. My life would be much better than it is now. Day 29: I will look into Vipsassana to help with my addiction as long as side effects are too negative. My life is beginning to finally change for the better. Day 30: The only good thing I'm doing for myself is to continue on my path to a better life. I first saw porn around 5 or 6. I must note that I have noted a huge increase in energy and testosterone. I just don't have the desire to watch porn at all whatsoever. When I do get horny, it comes and goes. It's been engraved into my brain that there are negative consequences to jerking off. It's happened to me far too many times to even think about doing it again. Eventually, days will pass and it doesn't even cross your mind that you're not an addict anymore.

I noticed it after a couple of weeks actually. The biggest thing is the MINDSET. If your mind is still on porn you'll relapse and won't feel any increase in energy while you're off it most likely. Stop counting days like that, You're bound to fail take the approach I did. Read the original post and BUY that book. That shit actually works. You'll have to take it ONE day at a time though. You don't beat your addiction by counting days in and of itself. You beat your addiction my developing DISCIPLINE, DEVELOPING your MINDSET and taking things ONE day at a time. It's NOT a race. Hey man, I've been struggling with an addiction to pornography myself. I've been addicted since about the same age as you.
It seems to me that the best way to overcome it, based off of the little victories I've had is to improve your life, no matter how crappy you feel. Change your life and change the way you think. Just change it all. Sitting around waiting to feel good, just from abstaining most likely will not work. Remember there's a huge difference between abstaining and recovering. Abstaining is just not looking at porn and not touching your dick while not changing much else in your life. Recovery is improving your life WHILE quitting porn and will provide much greater and longer-lasting results. |

Personally i don't like to talk about how many days passed without jerking/watching porn, every time i did it i relapsed, fuck it.
