I agree with both Ethan and Chris. Like Ethan said, people have different personal experience and they are inclined to approve more the philosophy they lived and gave them results. Yesterday I met a top sales guy in a multi-national company, average guy on every aspect as looks, but socially he's an expert. He can manipulate, entertain, engage and makes you want you to hang out with him. Even if he's average, he showed me some photos/videos with naked chicks that be banged(with his body/face in them so I know are not fake). They are all gorgeous. If you look at him on the street you can't believe he can fuck that quality, but when you start talking to him you get hooked. He doesn't know about PUA, but I can see that he can open the girl and keep her attention even if at first she's not interested.

However, I also have a good looking friend who fucked over 100, he's shy but girls hit on him and he developed a killer instinct.

So both stuff works.
